Improved the number of task by using Task Simplification Techniques, Microsoft Project, SQLPLUS, SQL and PL/SQL in a previous Migration Plan, which was 80% automated for doing the Migration for Openshop and Datawarehouse Databases from 7.3.4 to 8.1.7 that decreased the number of resources: time from 24 hrs to 8 hrs and DBA from 10 to 2.

Set the environment and developed a Migration plan including Korn shell and sql/sqlplus scripts for performing the Merging between Alcatel Richardson and DSC Plano. Moved more than 2000 database objects tables and indexes from Oracle version 7.1 in an Alpha VAX Cluster with VMS Operating System to target databases in 7.3.3, 7.3.4 and 8i UNIX Sun Solaris environment, resulting in Company Productivity improved significantly by letting the developers coming from Richardson and the ones in DSC continue their job.

Completed Payroll Database Restore Automation in Development and Preproduction Environment by setting 7 Restore Operation and 6 Monitoring Scripts, improving the Restore Operation and decreasing the possibility of errors. Reduced the Readme txt file Instructions from 11 to 5 Operation steps. Also produced and distributed a document with the changes in Payroll database operation to DBA group.
