Operations Manager: Oversee all production planning, scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, and operational logistics. Also responsible for regulatory relations, safety and health. Specific Functions:
Material Requirement Planning (MRP)/Inventory Management: Developed an inventory control system to streamline material planning in accordance with the master production schedule. Oversee raw material and finished product inventories – minimizing overage, shortage and handling costs, while maximizing efficiency and profitability. Purchasing/Outside Vendor Contracts: Review vendors and pricing, ensuring efficient and cost-effective purchasing and supply chain management. Arrange outside vendor contracts in conjunction with production demands.
Regulatory Relations: Manage regulatory requirements, working to ensure compliance with such agencies as the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Jacksonville Environmental Resource Management Department, the Jacksonville Department of Public Works, and Southeastern Environmental Services.
Quality Assurance: Review operations, work flow, raw materials, and finished goods for continual improvement - minimizing re-work/maximizing profits.
OSHA/Health & Safety: Maintain/Update all SOPs to reflect current safety standards, reviewing production regularly – updating employees as needed.
