RECENT EXPERIENCE

ITT Technology Institute (at 2 WA State Campus Locations) 2/2011 – 9/2016

Director Career Services (Employer Business Development & Placement) – Seattle 8/2016 – 9/2016

Successfully gained a new Fortune 100 employer account placing multiple students.

Helped place students with existing accounts.

Active in training and advising Students and Graduates. -- short tenure due to college closing nationally --

Senior Representative / Recruiter (Recruiting, Advising & Retention) – Seattle 2/2016 –7/2016

Brought in to strengthen Seattle Campus recruiting effort yielding similar recruiter results as when at Everett (below).

As most local campus Recruiters were let go when corporate went to a national call center model, I was rapidly hired back by Headquarters to locally lead campus career services.

Senior Representative / Recruiter (Recruiting, Advising & Retention) – Everett 2/2011 – 1/2016

Worked with one of the nations largest technical colleges providing training and career service help in IT Networking, Cybersecurity, Software Development, Electronics, and Drafting & Design Technology. My role in a call center was to contact and pre-qualify new student leads from telemarketing, online capture, call in, and walk in sources. I assisted candidates over a wide range of ages (18 to 60), interests, diverse ethnic, educational, experience backgrounds, in various stages of career transition. Once screened, I set and conducted interviews, with same or next day interview goal, within a high compliance driven regulatory environment. Interviews determined qualifications, interests and needs, matched goals to training product, communicated value proposition, and overcame objections. I helped prepare application paperwork, arranged for supplemental document collection, and coordinated later candidate meetings for financial aid, student orientation, and first day class start. Once aboard, I monitored engagement, problem solved to develop client retentive methods as needed, served as advisor, tracked, and worked to re-enrolled students that had left.

Consistently met recruiting quotas required for my retention in dwindling market (16 other recruiters turned over at the Everett Campus over my 4 year tenure, with only one other Recruiter remaining of the 10 initially present).

Successfully gained client referrals and recruited candidates when on personal outings separate from work.

Gained recognition for student retention and service.

Ancient Sounds Ethnic Instruments & Woodsounds Flutes 10/2004 – 06/2009

Sales & Marketing (Specialty Niche Products)

Developed and grew an eBay world ethnic instrument store to help Woodsounds Flutes, a friends business establish and expand. I marketed and sold instruments creating and posting online extensive product photo and sound files. I performed a more direct role within company during my last several months, posting website sales content, managing sales ads, phone sales, and helping in national festival booths. I also designed and published Constant Contact Newsletters & Sales Flash promotions. During rapidly degrading economic times I was able to help Woodsounds become a premier source of high-end flutes for serious amateur players, Grammy and other award winning musicians alike. We discontinued the sales relationship after the economy tightened further and Woodsounds moved out of state, making collaboration logistics more difficult.

Achieved $500,000+ eBay sales in 3 yr, a Platinum Seller, with 100% positive feedback on over 1,000 sales.

The independent store became 1/2 Woodsounds Flutes total sales and a highly visible showcase for their fine work.

Last year directly helped increase Woodsounds sales 10% over previous, while competitors experienced reductions.

Became skilled in product macrophotography and sound recording, building customer rapport, establishing value, closing sales, inventory management, shipping, and most definitely in customer service.

Strategic Resource Services, Inc., Bellevue, WA 1/2000 – 2/2005

Executive Recruiting -- Principle Partner / VP Life/Medical Sciences & Biotechnology

Working 100% on commission and sharing office costs within a boutique contingent recruiting firm, I functioned as primary point of agency contact for my recruiting sectors. My duties included extensive direct internet research nationally to identify potential employer relationships and candidates. Cold calling was used to develop employer and candidate interest. I directly recruited candidates, developed contingent recruiting contracts with employers, cleared fees, negotiated contracts, and placed candidates. I became experienced at communicating value position, negotiating, prepping and post interview discussion with candidates and hiring authorities. Success required proactive problem solving and effectively managing both sides to retain employer accounts and sustain candidate interest. This was accomplished during tough economic recruiting times, when many other firms locally and nationally were down-sizing or going out of business. Our belief was (and still is) that there will always the need to find the right talent.

Added new recruiting sector, which had no previous experience in that sector.

Developed a Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical/Biotechnology nationwide full desk, full cycle recruiting program, created an 8,000+ contact Bullhorn database from scratch (not using Monster, Indeed, LinkedIn, etc).

Became experienced using recruiting and contact base software, creating, managing and data mining in large, actively changing databases.

Placed a Board Member and CEO, through Director level professionals in Technical & Managerial Roles, as well as a Medical Writer in Biopharmaceutical/Pharmaceutical Drug Discovery programs.
