Qatar University has floated tenders for the construction of two new buildings including a College of Education and a College of Law for its Doha campus.
The $96 million New College of Education will have a built up area of 60,000 square metres (sqm) and it is expected to accommodate around 2,500 students and 250 staff, according to Zawya Projects News.
The G+3 College of Law building will have a built up area of 10,500 sqm.
Khatib & Alami is providing design and construction supervision services for the two projects.

The new buildings are part of QU's $961 million (3.5 billion Qatari riyals) five-year expansion masterplan announced in 2013, which included building four new colleges, student and staff accommodation.
Roles & Responsibilities:-
Monitor and control all HSE matters related with project team members and contractors in ensuring that the Project is in compliance with the project requirement i.e. specification, safety code and other policies/guidelines related to the project.
Responsible for the health, safety, environment, security & emergency throughout the project duration to achieve safe project completion.
Review, check and verify engineering deliverables related to HSE aspects.
Manage and control safety execution of the fabrication activities by contractor and verify the works and work procedure meet relevant HSE requirement and guideline.
