Renovated the previous senior design group planetary gear transmission.
Constructed a display cabinet to house the planetary gear transmission, PLC, and VSD.
Designed a PLC program keeping the speed of the generator constant while the carrier speed varies
Wrote a report on findings and presented to engineering department faculty.
Research Experience:
Mathematical Aspects of a Multi-Geared Transmission in Wind Turbine Technology
Midwestern State University UGROW 2014 participant
Developed a mathematical formula from the gear ratio formula for a multi-stage transmission.
Produced a formula to maintain a constant speed at the wind turbine’s generator to produce a stable 60 Hz frequency of electricity.
