Responsible for the operation of six 550 tons per day mass burn boilers with a rating of 150KPPH along with a 92MW General Electric steam turbine generator, and all associated plant equipment. During the outage season I was the outage supervisor responsible for all of the contractors safety and production of the pressure side and the fire side of the boilers. Major accomplishments included a change in secondary plant operations that was able to net 2 MW an hour to the grid for the same boiler output. Turbine generator efficiency was increased 2.8% through trap surveys, condenser leak detection, air ejector modifications and repairs. Through a comprehensive training with the control room operators the average steam flow of the boilers has went from 141 KPPH to 145 KPPH. September 2006 our plant was awarded the OSHA VPP star.

In January of 2007 I was part of a joint Covanta team that went to Harrisburg Pa to start up their WTE facility after retrofit. I stayed on for five months as the Chief Engineer to hire on a staff and train their new employees.
