Title : Preliminary Design Modification on Aircraft “BOEING 777” (ADP I) Description : The main objective of aircraft design project is to design an aircraft with better efficiency and overall performance by calculating the aircraft’s weight, drag, aerofoil and power plant selection and also its stability. In this the weight and drag has to be reduce and the lift and thrust has to be increased by choosing cambered aerofoil. By finding the weight of the different components of the aircraft, the C.G position is calculated and stability is to be maintained properly. Title : Conceptual Design Modification on Aircraft “BOEING 777” (ADP II) Description: The conceptual design is analysed for various velocity phases with respective to their load factors and v-n diagram for structural design, gust loads and gust envelope is represented graphically. Wing lift distribution is presented using shrank curve method. The SFD and BMD diagrams for the wing structure and also for the entire fuselage is plotted with maximum CL. Materials are selected for various disintegrable and major parts of the aircraft. The spar and the stringers are also designed and analysed.
FINAL YEAR PROJECT
Title : ANALYSIS OF CRACK USING NATURAL FREQUENCY
Description: The project is mainly themed for the comparison and analysis of the natural frequency of the rotating shaft that is subjected to a crack within its body, with the shaft that is found to have no voids. When a crack is made to be found over the shaft, the natural frequency of the shaft deviates greatly than that of the one found without void. The testing is made and the data produced by testing between this two shafts, gives the variation in the natural frequency of the shaft when subjected to working condition at a particular RPM. It is made clear that decrease in the natural frequency of the component result in the reduction of life of the component due to the formation of the crack over the body.
