Functioned as CTO and CIO for a national title insurance company selling directly to consumers as well as to clients. Transformed IT department from an environment with virtually no infrastructure, security, compliance or development procedures; to a streamlined, pro-active department, passing due diligence for potential purchasers and client/state audits.

As CTO, implemented strong enterprise architecture practices moving from a purely tactical to a strategic environment, while ensuring full integration across all applications using a core API. Technologies used: C#, React and Angular, SASS, SQL Server, Asp.Net API. Desktop applications built in WPF. Initial source control on TFS with CI moved to Github/Travis CI.

Built industry leading, feature-rich quoting engine ‘CQE’ (cqe.entitle.direct), garnering excellent client reviews and increasing new clients by 6% month on month.

Replaced malfunctioning Order system with industry leading ‘Resware’ platform, adding multiple custom integrations, leading to a 30% reduction in operations FTE head count.

Released first API (api.entitle.direct) for the title industry to be able to get quotes directly from an underwriter, leading to a 25% reduction in manual orders.

Replaced aging website (entitledirect.com) with new modern, SEO optimized, responsive design using Kentico CMS resulting in 1st page results for all targeted keywords and a 50% reduction in PPC spend

As CIO, starting with 5 separate unconnected offices, rolled out new network infrastructure to create site-to-site tunnels. Migrated poorly performing production server environment to a privately hosted cloud at PrecisionIT. Ensured redundancy was in place at all levels including service providers on a different last mile, firewalls/switches with active/active failover, etc. Setup a 24 hour Help Desk and 24 hour pro-active monitoring using Autotask and AEM.

For compliance, authored and implemented over 30 IT compliance manuals/policies to prepare the company for GLBA (Gramm-Leach-Bliley-Act) and ALTA Best Practices (American Land Title Association) compliance.
