Designed and Fabricated MONOWHEEL using CATIA V5 and ANSYS

Used LMS SCADAS for interior noise testing of vehicle at different speed conditions.

Applied DFMEA, process control plan and other quality engineering techniques when worked as an intern for Tata Steels limited.

Hands on knowledge about powertrain and transmission when worked as an intern for Bajaj Automotive India, tested and trouble shoot 5 speed manual transmission of two-wheeler vehicles.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

The University of Michigan-Dearborn Dearborn, MI

Master of Science April 2017

Automotive Systems Engineering GPA: 3.3/4

Osmania University Hyderabad, India

Bachelor of Engineering May 2015

Automotive Engineering GPA: 3.4/4

WORK EXPERIENCE

TATA STEELS LIMITED Hyderabad, India

Position: Quality Engineer Intern February 2014- March 2015

Ensure that the Process Control Plan is applied

Performed root cause analysis of quality issue and problem solving

Create and maintain quality control documentation

Assisted process audits and process FMEA

Providing feedback to materials, design and manufacturing on the deviations observed during incoming and in process inspection

BAJAJ AUTOMOTIVE Hyderabad, India

Position: Automotive Engineer-Intern April 2013 – October 2013

Performed simple maintenance tasks such as battery checks and replacement of air filters and spark plugs.

Trouble shoot and replace faulty parts of gearbox and transmission of 5 speed manual transmission of two-wheeler

Made sure all tools and diagnostic equipment functioned properly

Learned the proper understanding of manual transmission and inspection of the incoming material from the assembly line

Performed test drives on the vehicle after assembly to check if everything is per the demands made by the customer

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Driver Package Evaluation

Measured a few important driver package dimensions

Evaluated the dimensions with respect to the driver anthropometric data

Recorded driver seating positions and head clearance of a group of drivers

Draw a conclusion about the driver package based on the results given by the subjective judgements of drivers on interior package considerations

Controls and Display Evaluation

Conducted an ergonomics evaluation of selected controls and displays located on the driver’s door, the instrument panel and the steering column of a passenger car

Suggested ergonomic improvement to the selected controls and instrument panel

Interior Noise testing of vehicle using LMS

Placed four microphones on the four sides of interior of the car to measure the interior noise of vehicle at different road and speed conditions with windows open and close

Using LMS calculated the above based results to find out which part of the car was making more vibration and noise.

Quality Function Deployment (QFD): Customer Needs, Benchmarking and Development of Interior Package Targets

Applied the QFD technique to determine the customer needs for the chunk involving Driver's seat, Steering Wheel and Pedals.

Inputs from subjects (current owners/target customers) were collected and customer needs were related to relevant package dimensions.

Benchmarked the same chunk in the Honda Accord and Volkswagen Passat taking Ford Fusion as the reference vehicle. Determined the target designs for the chunk and suggested improvement.

Design and Fabrication of Monowheel

Using CATIA V5 designed a Monowheel

Performed analysis on the designed vehicle (Monowheel) using ANSYS at static condition to know the deformation and other stresses acting on the body

Fabricated the designed part using AISI 1018 mild steel to the above designed dimensions

Used a 150-cc engine to power the vehicle and put dead weights so that the vehicle was well balanced

HONOR AND AWARDS

Received UM-Dearborn Non-Resident Graduate Tuition Scholarship thrice for Academic performance.
