SUMMARY

Licensed Professional Chemical Engineer having work experience of Twenty years above of increasingly broad-based results-oriented responsibilities in systems and process with EPC companies and operating companies in Canada and internationally. Projects were completed in the fields of SAGD / CSS Heavy Oil and Gas Processing, Water and Waste Water Treatment, Fertilizer, Power, Paper and possess experience in FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Control, Construction, Plant Startup & Commissioning, Operation and Close out.

Twenty years of my experience with WorleyParsons Calgary, DCL and Kuljian Corporation USA in the projects of Oil & Gas, Power, Water Treatment and Fertilizer which includes the equipment’s in sweet and sour oil and gas facility operations, artificial lift design and installation, Well Pad design, sound knowledge of measurement, design of VRU, De-oiling, separation, dehydration, Compression technology, Water and Waste Water Treatment, OTSG in Oil and Gas plant. Kuwait Oil Corporation (KOC)- Lower Fars Heavy Oil (LFHO) Project

LFHO phase 1 project is to use Cyclic Steam Stimulation and followed by Steam Flood to produce 60,000BOPD of Heavy oil. This project includes Oil field and ISS (Infield Satellite Station) which includes Well Pad, Central Processing Facility (CPF) includes Inlet treating, De-oiling, Water treatment, Steam Generation, OTSG, Utilities and Disposal Water System, Pipelines, Gas Compression, Gas sweetening and amine treatment, Sulphur recovery, Export Oil Facility and Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Working on PMC role as Lead Process engineer -1 / DAP for all Heavy oil process transmittals, Documents and leading process team members on behalf of client KOC to oversee the EPC contractor’s work, review process related design documents and calculations, provide comments and resolve any issue during the detailed engineering by using sound process engineering experience and background, ensure that EPC design meet both contractual and technical requirement by complying with project design criteria, philosophy and KOC standards & specification, as well as industrial standards. Responsible for project management in handling process related Technical Quarries from EPC contractor and Memorandum from KOC, participated design review time to time and HAZOP / SIL review meeting. Co-ordinating with construction, contractor, vendors and design group effectively.

Heavy oil Project

Lead Process Engineer for de-oiling and water treatment section for the DBM and EDS phases for a SAGD (50,000 BBLs/d) Heavy oil plant. Developed PFDs, P&IDs and sized equipment, process lines, PSVs and liaised with vendors. Recovered water is deoiled and evaporated (produced water and boiler blowdown) for use in steam production boilers. Sized the VRU system for the total plant. Participated in HAZOP and resolve the action sheets. Utilized in-house Excel spread sheet, simulation with KORF, HYSYS, OLI and IN Tools software.

MEG Energy, - Responsible for SAGD Heavy oil project’s (2 X 30000 BBLs/day) Process calculations, PFD, P&ID’s including Tie-ins, LDT’s for 2B Expansion Project. Responsible for process data sheet, review and selection of Evaporator (MVC) to recover water from OTSG blowdown, Gas Compression, Gas sweetening and amine treatment, Sulphur recovery. Utilized in-house Excel spread sheet, simulation with KORF, HYSYS, OLI and In-Tools software. Co-ordinating with construction, contractor, vendors and design group effectively.

JACOS Hangingstone, - Responsible for Process design calculations for water treatment Plant equipment’s of SAGD Heavy oil project (30000 BBLs/day). Reviewed the impact on process equipment’s due to change in water chemistry and balance.

Nexen Petroleum Inc., - Lead Process Engineer for design 5 Hydromation type filters for oil removal in de-oiling units of Commercial and debottlenecking Heavy oil projects (75000BBLs/Day).

Kinosis SAGD Phase 1 Project, - Studied numerous filters used in Hot Lime Softening process (2x30000 BBLs/Day).

Kinosis Early EDS Work, - Lead Process Engineer for deoiling, water treatment and steam

generation section. Investigated various lime sludge handling methods for the Kinosis plant

and chemical consumptions at the operating facility.

Developed and drafted De-oiling, Water treatment PFD and P &ID’s for capacity 136,000 BPD of dry steam generation plant.

Nexen Petroleum Inc., – Long Lake South Phase 1(11,130 m3/day Bitumen) SAGD Project,AB, Canada - Responsible for developing to finalizing of PFD’s and P&ID’s, LDT’s, equipment sizing of mainly storage tanks, OTSG, heat exchangers, pumps, filters, scrubbers, line sizing, generated heat and material balance, hydraulic calculations, preparation of equipments and instruments data sheet, Hazop clarifications, vendor documents review, Hydraulic design for sludge disposal, checked process calculations made by other process engineers, attended meeting with client, vendors and reviewed proposal, operation write up, for de-oiling, produced water treatment system, fire water and safety system, potable water system, sanitary waste water system and utility water system. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., - Haldia, India - For developing P&ID’s, detail engineering for pipe line and control valve sizing as well as vendor drawing reviewing for LPG Bottling plant.

Gujarat State Fertilizer Corporation Ltd., - Baroda, India - For developing PFD’s, P&ID’s, equipment sizing using in house software and hydraulic calculation. Prepared bill of quantities for piping, data sheet for equipments and instruments, generated heat and material balance for water treatment and DAP plant. Participated in HAZOP studies. Responsible for construction, plant start-up and commissioning in water treatment and power plant.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., - Mumbai, India - For developing equipment layouts, PFD’s, P&ID’s, equipment sizing, operation logic diagram, control philosophy. Prepared data sheet for equipments and instruments, generated heat and material balance for water treatment plant, natural gas and oil handling system and 2X 15 MW GE make gas turbines along with their HRSG’s (2x120t/hr). Participated in HAZOP studies and assisted during commissioning for demineralized water treatment and gas turbines. Coordinated environmental issues with Government agencies.
