Project :Test Automation Facility Since Feb‘15

Technical Environment:

Mainframe OS/390, JCL, SYNCSORT, CHANGE MANAGEMENT, SPUFI, CONTROL-M, NDM, MQ Series, QMF, Expeditor and JHS.

Test Automation Facility, We have created a new test automation facility integrating all the different applications where a test file will be created based on a requirement from business. Once a file is created, the test script will execute E2E and the final output will be captured for Business validation. This is to save time during any project testings and thus reduced lot of manual interventions.

Currently, we are working on a proposal to build a new test suite similar to production for testing which will minimize any errors in production during new software deployment.

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Engineer

Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to engineers on testing and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies and processes

Work with engineers to drive improvements in code quality via manual and automated testing

Responsible for managing the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles into the design and development of software and IT processes

Project :AP Non-spend Project Nov’14 to jan‘15

AP Non-spend is one of the new initiatives launched by AMEX to replace all its existing financial capture systems. APCD re-hosts all the AP (Accounts Payables) functionality from the existing financial captures. In Legacy systems they had different layouts for accepting each type of adjustments from different applications.

As part of this project, we converted all applications to feed into APCD with single standard layout. Key contributor for AP non-spend migration which bagged 500K worth project for Syntel.

Russian Ruble currency is one of the initiative for which we should accept and process the merchants payments setup of old and new currencies.

Responsibilities:

As a Test Manager

Manage test activities for APCD application.

Create test setups for SIT and UAT.

Create test cases for System Integration testing.

Create test strategy document.

Create project in HP ALM and request for ALM access for everyone.

Create test schedulers for testing the jobs on control-M.

We will be taking care of uploading the testcases and test results in ALM.

Speed of Pay remains the key point of difference between Amex and other acquirers across EMEA market. Speed of Pay is to close the competitive gap. The Benefit of the project is to enable the same risk monitoring of merchants. This project had a big impacts to all mechants.

Project: Instream Balancing and controls.

There have been instances in production where merchant submissions file distribution to my downstream was missed due to a maual interventions performed in the process while restarting the abended job. There is a need to develop a track file processing with in APCD to ensure that all files received are processed and distributed to downtream properly. Also downstream would acknowledge the receipt of all files distributed from APCD.
