Professional Experience

1. Research and Development – Materials and Corrosion Engineer 2015 ~ 2017 Botswana Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources on NSC 2 Water transfer scheme under Botswana International University of Science and Technology Performed forensic investigation of failed various types of pipelines which entails collection of sample receipts and operational details, examination of sample cross-sections and a range of analytical techniques to evaluate structural integrity. Provided applied materials and corrosion research experiments a research program related to oil and gas environment transmission pipelines and facilities. Investigated and analyzed corrosion behaviour of these materials observed under these simulated environments oil and gas in the presence of water transmission pipeline. Recommended the best material based on the performance evaluation of the selected materials subjected to the same simulated corrosion media of oil and gas environment, with regards to cost and structural integrity.

Worked independently but within a team environment; responsible for self-directing and managing own project from inception to end, ensuring the accuracy of results in all project allocated.

Consistently worked on chemical vapour deposition equipment for the synthesis of carbon nanomaterials and optimization of this equipment. Preparation of the electrocatalytic electrodes for fabrication of proton electrode membrane assembly for fuel cell.

Designing and testing of a laboratory proton electrode membrane fuel cell using the prepared catalyst electrodes with hydrogen and oxygen as fuels. Submitting weekly reports of all experimental activities to the leading supervisor of the nanotechnology team.

Supervision and evaluation of the laboratory experiments of the undergraduate students and assisting them in the use of several pieces of analytical equipment.
