Responsibilities

After two years of assistance I was responsible for teaching my own class, which involved creating course syllabi, assignments, exams, and gradebooks. I was also responsible for responding to students’ questions as well as keeping regular office hours during the week.

My public speaking and my teaching skills as well as my knowledge within various fields of sociology (i.e. social research methods, deviance, and criminology) all improved. I also won a contest for ‘Best Student Paper’ at NYSSA 2013.
