Project Manager/Project Engineer providing leadership to multidisciplinary and diverse teams to execute a portfolio of Power Generation, Transmission, and Substation projects in the Northeast region focused on achieving excellence on safety, schedule adherence, budget accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Project Engineer for the Linden CoGen G23-Split Project that restored the G23-M line and placed the plant back in service with the two generator leads L&M fully separated, both physically and with new relaying in service. Completed within budget and on-time, with zero lost-time accidents and no injuries or reportable safety incidents. Total cost of $28MM for the CoGen work ($32MM budget) and EIG’s portion of the work was $1.32MM.

Construction Quality Control (CQC) Plan Manager

Managed the Quality Control program for Runway 15R-33L Standard Compliance Earthwork Package at Baltimore / Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport - $21Mil budget. This includes:

Developed and implemented of the Quality Control Program, Budget and Quality Orientation for field and subcontractor crews

Ensured that the Quality Control Plan is communicated, implemented and maintained at all levels of the AI departments, subcontractors and suppliers.

Provided oversight of field and subcontractor crews performing work to specifications and ensuring the inspection, civil, electrical and mechanical testing and auditing is performed and implemented from initial construction through final inspection, acceptance and operation (cradle-to-grave engineering and project management) of the facilities.

Directed mass earthwork and grading, construction of retaining wall, service roadway construction, and facilitating the Restricted Security Area (RSA) Program and Standards compliance for Runway 15R – 33L

Constellation Energy (CEG) 2007 - 2012

Civil Engineer/Project Manager

Managed multiple projects ensuring completion on time and within budget. Oversaw multiple phases of the project to include planning, initiating, monitoring/controlling, and closing. Conducted feasibility and environmental studies, bid specification, contracts, and permitting as well as developed estimates, created Microsoft Project schedules, business cases, project documentations, staffing and conceptual engineering.

Initiated/ planned phases of H.A. Wagner Unit 2 Stack Repair. Included in-kind replacement of top thirty feet of the stack, installation of four foot wide reinforcement band, repairs to the interior lining system along the full height to prevent deterioration, and external coating. Budget: $1.5M.

Successfully orchestrated the planning phases of Brandon Shores Dolphin Fender Project; upgraded the fender system along the limestone unloading area for the installation of marine fender systems along with a protection steel truss frame in the berthing zone. Budget: $400k.

Managed engineering, design, and implementation of the Coal Combustion By-Product Temporary Storage Facilities at C.P. Crane Generating Station (two 193 MW coal units). Project included the design of temporary storage facility to house 1,000 tons of Coal Combustion By-Products for a period of eight days. Budget: $470k, Actual Cost: $450k.

Oversaw Maintenance Dredging at Brandon Shores (BS) Generating Station (two 643 MW coal units); required 17,000 cubic yards of dredged material to be relocated to maintain BS Channel Area. Budget: $480k, Actual Cost: $400k.

Assigned as Support Engineer; analyzed and field engineered new solutions for structural steel issues with the Scrubber at Brandon Shores (BS) Generating Station. Created punch list items for structural steel issues and met with contractor to correct structural steel problems.

Managed Run-Off Lagoons at Brandon Shores Generating Station; lagoons required installation of new sump pipes in two coal fines lagoons, installation of 18” clay liner with 12” of bottom ash with the new 16” sump pipe. Budget $90k, Final Cost $400k. Change in scope took place when determined that no liner existed in lagoons and a new one needed to be installed.

Directed installation of 380 linear feet of Sheet Piling and removal of 900 linear feet of Sheet Piling along waterfront of C. P. Crane Generating Station. Budget: $2 Mil, Final Cost; $1.2M.

Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) 2005 - 2007

Engineer Analyst

Project Manager; Oversaw Upgrade of Pump Stations for Transmission 110 kV and 230 kV pipe-type cable including the installation of hydraulic, control and monitoring equipment for pipe cable terminal systems.

Transmission Analyst; Managed monthly, quarterly, and annual budget for Underground Transmission Department for O&M and capital projects. Developed/monitored models of transmission circuits in Plant Information (PI) Historian for HPFF Pipe Type Cable systems for Underground Transmission.

Outage Management System (OMS) Analyst; Analyzed distribution outage jobs in Outage Management System during Storm Restoration.

Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CBI) 2004 - 2005

Engineer in Training

Field Engineer at Dominion Cove Point LNG plant in Lusby, MD supporting construction of LNG Terminal Expansion Project. Created engineering procedures, quality assurance and quality control procedures, and safety regulations.

Field Engineer at Marathon Ashland Petroleum Refinery in Detroit, MI supporting construction and start-up of new Gas & Oil Hydro-Treater Unit (GOHT). Created punch list items for structural steel, piping systems and internal vessel issues. Oversaw project walk downs and turn-over with client.

Material Coordinator at Premcor Refinery in Delaware City, DE. Completed 3-month turnaround Project on Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (F.C.C.U Tracked all construction equipment. Oversaw placement of material for efficiency of time and use during construction and repair of F.C.C.U.

CAD Designer at CBI Headquarters in The Woodlands, TX. Designed spheres on Microstation CAD System and reviewed technical specifications, engineering drawings and contracts. Maintained experience lists for Turnaround Projects, Spheres, Flat-Bottom Tanks, and Lo-Temp Tanks in the Marketing Division.
