Selected Achievements & Skills

• Lead and developed a new technology in Magnesia fire pits introducing new lines resulting in $7

million in new sales with profit margins of 50% to The Home Depot, Frontgate, Sports

Authority, Target, Big 5 Sporting Goods and Hayneedle; serving as Vice President

Marketing & Product Development for Maximum Resources. Introduced new garden

tool line Centurion Brands at The Home Depot bring in $750,000 in sales with a 32%

margin in the first six months on end cap slotting only. Also brought in 3 new fire pits

resulting in $3 million in sales. Developed a complete new line of decorative wall art

and new clocks; presented 26 new items to Home Goods. I sold 13 items resulting in

$500,000 in sales at margins of 40% with reorders occurring every seven weeks;

annual sales are $3.75 million.

• Improved profit margins to 30% by adding 15 new products gave product line depth and

diversity added an additional $2 million in sales in consumer goods sales. I served as

Vice President of Marketing for Landmann USA, working in an industry that offered

unique new challenges. Additionally, I developed a premium incentive program with the

NCAA, Budweiser and Coca-Cola. Redesigned the corporate website and established an e-

commerce store, ad placement, press releases, trade shows, and marketing programs within the

consumer goods industry.

• Increased sales from $450 thousand to $1.2 million in two years with a Gross Profit of

38% as Corporate Vice President Sales for Advanced Coatings. Assigned to revamp a struggling

sales operation and developed promotional mail campaign to building owners based on severe

weather forecast in specific geographical areas providing them with an inexpensive alternative

for major roof repairs offering alternative ways of saving operating costs; call backs resulted in a

12% response rate. This allowed me to build an independent sales agent force to specifically

represent the company in target markets. Developed new business in Mexico to handle

elastomeric roof coatings and expanded the technology of the roof coatings to also be used as

painting for walls by altering the formula to accept tinting to the base coat.

I started a flooring distribution company building sales to $7.5 million as President and

owner VHS Hardwood selling the company in 2004. Developed programs and other educational

procedures for the flooring contractor to gain confidence in our service and ability to help them grow

their business; also created a contractor program with Lowes and Home Depot to be their emergency

fill in when they ran short on some products, this resulted in about $5 thousand in added monthly

sales.

Redesigned retail package and product features to enhance sales for Home Depot, Menards and Lowes bringing in new sales of

$2 million annually as Director Global Product Standardization at USG Interiors.

Designed and implemented a plan to consolidate and standardize manufacturing operations at 15 world wide plants;

this improvement plan produced the following results; Produced an annual savings of $3 million in costs, built a

strong worldwide cohesive marketing strategy, improved product image, reorganized logistical boundaries,

redesigned brand packaging and accelerated product improvements; Strategically improved the image of the

corporation as a global entity and a world leader in its industry. During my career at USG I was responsible for $125

Million in sales as a District Sales Manager covering 14 Midwestern states with 7 sales reports. We captured a market

share of 62%.

Skills: Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly personable

and capable of working with CEOs and other executive level positions as well as all

management level staff. I have had experience from Fortune 500 operations, sole
