RSO. Repair and maintain MMVACIS including advanced radiation emitting and detecting
devices. Train military personnel on safely operating MMVACIS system, especially its
radioactive components. Assist in the tracking and replacement of personal dosimeters
(TLDs) issued to certified individuals as well as proportional ion counter survey meters.
Knowledgeable about ALARA, including shielding, as well as other safety concerns
regarding exposure to radioisotopes (for both trained radiation workers and the general
public) and their attendant biological effects.
