PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
PROJECT LEADER & ESTIMATOR
April 2012-Present
New Era Tool & Die - Toronto, ON
Brought on board with a company dealing with oil pumps & large machining
parts for oil industry and power plants and to manage the full cycle of
various manufacturing projects from estimation through to project planning,
resource allocation, and stakeholder relations.
. Analyzes request for quote (RFQ) documentation, meticulously assessing
prospective client needs and reaching out to suppliers to gather pricing
estimates.
. Amalgamates information from suppliers with detailed process maps and
time & labour cost estimates to create accurate and competitive quotes
based on client needs.
. Leads negotiations with clients on pricing and lead times, serving as the
key liaison between the client, suppliers and engineers to refine quotes
to client time and budget constraints.
. Maintains a continuous relationship with clients and the project, taking
over as Project Leader when the purchase order (PO) is signed, in
addition to charting a project plan.
. Monitors projects, paying attention to lead times and budget to ensure
that all deliverables are met, while handling and resolving any issues.
CNC TECHNICIAN, AEROSPACE COMPONENTS
August 2008 - September 2011
LHM Technologies Inc. - WOODBRIDGE, ON
Took expertise in automotive industry and gained new insights into
aerospace at this AS9100 certified company registered with the Controlled
Good Program producing component parts for military and space program as a
CNC operator before being acknowledged for hard work and receiving an
increased salary and promotion to technician role.
. Increased productivity by 20% by showcasing diligent attention to tools
and parameters, making over 70 pieces for Husky in 10 hours versus 55-60
by other team members.
. Managed machine set-up, entering codes detailing speed, feed and cut of
the tool path for computer numerical controlled tools using G code
programming language.
. Reviewed drawings, devices and selected the tools needed to ensure that
machines were able to perform repetitive machining operations such as end
mills, drill and cutters.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE- LHM Technologies Inc. continued
. Exhibited polished interpersonal communications when liaising with
Quality Control department, responding to any questions or concerns
before securing the green light to go ahead with set-up.
. Utilized attention to detail to complete quality logs and other
documentation, recoding all discrepancies in machining and adding
technical notes to assist the production department.
. Diligently observed tolerance levels and used sound judgement to
determine the necessary machine offset adjustments and cutter changes.
. Performed self-inspections and routine maintenance on all equipment and
machinery and ensured that changes aligned with job orders and
blueprints.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, AUTOMOTIVE CHECKING FIXTURE
2004 - 2008
DTMS Inc.- Concord, ON
Secured job checking fixtures for automotive parts for clients such as
Magna and reviewed drawings and specifications, ordered raw materials and
checked tool inventory to secure very precise manufacturing with zero
tolerance for errors before finally presenting its metrological checking
and functionality to clients.
. Increased efficiency by noticing growth opportunities in processes and
procedures and introduced adjustments and a more streamlined approach to
reduce jobs from 4 hours to 3.
. Proactively created process documents for millworkers and lathe operators
to enable them to read drawings with missing data or a high level of
complexity, eliminating hours spent waiting for clarification.
. Drew upon natural leadership abilities to supervise roughly 5
technologists and shop workers, as well as 4 millworkers and lathe
operators, ensuring everyone was adhering to project specifications.
. Led smooth workflow process design, working within budgetary and schedule
parameters to oversee the design process for large fixates.
. Forged trusting relationship with clients by managing quality assurance
and control, composing folders for each customer and setting CMM
measurements for checking fixates before delivery.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
1991 - 2004
Automotive Ball & Roller Bearings Manufactory-Romania
First began as a mechanical engineer with this plant with 10K+ employees
and received promotion in 2000 to Deputy Chief of the Lathe Workshop, a GM
role overseeing engineering and accounting teams while composing production
schedules, performing cost estimations and resolving conflicts amongst team
members.
. Led review of workshop production capabilities and noticed that the ratio
of workers to machines was disparate; spent a month crunching numbers to
determine that 1/3 of machines could be eliminated.
. Played a key role in decision making through analysis, enabling expenses
to be cut by $200-300K through merger of the two plants and increasing
efficiency by having everything located in one facility.
. Overcame production barriers resulting from Romania's lack of design
software program by designing a die and special filter for EDM machine
over the span of two years that was implemented by the company.
. Impacted tolerance levels during large scale supervision of over 250
employees, leading research to uncover quality issue resulting from
groove in outer ring of bearing, enabling the production team to make
changes.
