EXPERIENCE:

Shell Front End Engineering Design Office (FEED) 2008 to 2013

HSE SUPPORT

• Implementation of approved contractors’ HSE plan during contract execution

• Conduct facility entry safety briefing/toolbox talk using the approved checklist and JHA

before commencement of work in all oil facilities

• Assists the Shell FEED Office Head of Technical Services in developing and presenting

industrial hygiene, occupational and general safety programs to personnel in order to

heighten safety awareness and help increase their safety practices.

• Carried out HSE capability assessment and pre - mobilization audit of all Contractors’

HSE Management System.

• Collate and report office man-hour / monthly HSE statistics

• Facilitate and document office emergency drills.

• Disseminate Learning from incidents (LFI) to all staff and Contractors through e-mails,

notice boards, HSE alert posters and presentation during HSE Meetings.

• Provide support for contractors on incident notification and follow-up and ensure that

incidents are properly reported, classified and investigated

• Schedule field operation staff for swimming certification and Helicopter Underwater

Escape Training (HUET) certifications.

• Emergency and Crisis Management

• Serve as Deputy Chief Fire warden in the Shell Industrial area Block 3 building

• Draft tasks based Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for all projects, review with team and get all

necessary approvals and sign off.

• Coordinates Team monthly HSE meeting /Send notification to all staff

• Attend Contracts Kick off meetings and make presentation on the HSE requirements of

every FEED Office contract

• Serve as Journey Manager for the Shell FEED Office with the responsibility of planning,

monitoring and analyzing all journeys and ensuring that all journeys comply with the

Shell Journey management requirement, and also initiate emergency procedures where

necessary.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Contributed to the Shell Technical Directorate achievement of 25Million Man-hour

without LTI by 31st July 2012

• Contributed to the Shell FEED Office achievement of ISO 9001: 2008 Certification by

UKAS

• One of Shell Major Contractors - National Engineering and Technical Company

(NETCO) received Shell TPE HSE Award under my supervision in Q2 2009.

• Raised the HSE awareness and culture in Shell Contractors some of whom became ISO

certified.

• None of the Shell FEED Office Contractors under my supervision (NETCO, Halden,

Point Engineering, Chattel Associates, IMPaC Engineering, Motak Investment and Epic

Atlantic recorded any fatality or LTI during my tenure. They made and kept their profits.

• The Shell FEED Office in Nigeria which started like an experiment in 2005 has come to

stay with a strong HSE management system and now competes with her counterpart in

Shell Aberdeen.

• Served as corporate master of ceremony during Shell Engineering Functions.
