Profile
. Utilizing industrial engineering skills, including work
methods (time study), motion analysis, and ergonomics, to
advice on the optimal method to design manual assembly
stations leading to efficient layout of equipment,
materials, and workspace, as well as labor estimates.
. Collaborate with senior engineers on a continuous
improvement programs (Kaizen), ergonomics project, line
balancing project, reducing kanban sizes, and waste
removing project.
. Computer skill: Pro E, WMS, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office;
Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Access
. Lean manufacturing experience to include assisting and
facilitating continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen,
5S, set-up reduction -SMED-, line balancing, standard work,
Value Stream Mapping, etc.). / Pre-6sigma
Education University of Mississippi Valley State, Bachelor of Science in
Industrial Technology, May 2010. JSU honors include: Elite
Honors Scholarship for having a 3.0 grade average in 2005.
Expert Rating, Six Sigma Black belt Certification in Dec. 2012.
(In school from September 2006 to May 2010)
Experience Industrial Engineer Intern, Viking Range, Greenwood MS May 2012-
August 2012 Monitored and analyzed work flow, processes,
procedures, or line activities to identify and resolve
bottlenecks to maximize efficiency. Identifying value-creating
and non-value- process steps to eliminate waste. Streamline
processes as well as converting batch- process, pull-system to
continuous flow. Conduct FMEA during new design to prevent
failures. Assist in Kaizen events where I help creating a one-
piece-flow work cell, also help developing a pull system, and
use other lean tools such as 5s to improve work flow. Conduct
time studies to improve overall flow and process efficiency
within the assembly facility. Support BOM verification and ECO
activities. Participate in Product Design reviews to insure
manufacturability of products. Troubleshoot refrigerator to find
root causing of failure. Update WI, Work aids, and forms.
Collect and analyze data for improvement. Assist Engineers in
the investigation and resolution of production problems related
to tooling, methods, processes, equipment, and engineering
specifications on parts, assemblies, and products.

Research and Development Intern,
University of Mississippi Valley State, Itta Bena, MS August
2008-June 2009 To define project scope, goals and deliverables
that support business in collaboration with project coordinator
and other team member. Insight into public sector issues,
challenges, opportunities, and decision making process.
Supporting the development of vehicle testing and countermeasure
analysis, these include assisting with problem and data
analysis, countermeasures, test set-up, data acquisition, test
monitoring and recording activities. Additional projects include
performance testing and reporting results.
