Job Profile

Responsible for End to END product development.

Responsible for studying and writing the Design specifications for the

board as per customer requirements

Selection of major ICs and components for the Board from different

Vendors

Responsible for carrying Schematic entries using EDA tool such as

Orcad, Altium.

Providing PCB Layout guidelines to PCB layout designer during PCB

design cycle.

Generating net list and Bill of material (BoM) and verifying it.

Generating Gerber and reviewing it.

Writing the Test plans and Test report for the embedded Boards.

Complete Board bring-up and testing of various hardware interfaces on

Carrying out the Design Validation Test (DVT) analysis for different

DVR (Digital Video Recorder)

Configuration: DVR is a consumer electronics that records audio/video in a

digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other

local or networked mass storage device.

Digital video recorder is configured for security applications; it records

audio/video signals from cameras for detection and documentation purposes.

The Board is based on the TMS320DM81XX series from TI

Responsibility- Drafting PRD (Product requirement document) by

understanding the requirements and then drafting of HDD (Hardware Design

Document) for the costumer. Making Test Plans, Making Schematics, Doing

Placement for the Layout, Board Bring up, Sitting with the Mechanical Guy

and Designing the Mechanical for the Card.

TDU-7 (Transmission Distribution Unit)

Configuration: Atheros Processor Card is Mother Board for TDU (Transmission

Distribution Unit) being used in the world GSM transmission section.

The Board is based on the AR71XX Processor from Atheros; the design is

compatible for the low end processor in the same series.

It is a six layer board using network processor from Atheros AR71XX, 2

Micrel 88e60XX Switch being used for the 7 Ethernet ports. It uses five

replica sections of AP/RU.

Responsibility- Making requirements Documents, making Design Documents,

Making Test Plans, Making Schematics, Doing Placement for the Layout for

the new Revision,Board Bring up, Sitting with the Mechanical Guy and

Designing the Mechanical for the Card.

NGMR (Next Generation Mobile Router)

Configuration: Next Generation Mobile Router is to enable communication

backhaul from a next-generation, consolidated IP/MPLS backbone network to

E1 and Internet Protocol (IP) traffic respectively at cell site for 2G, 3G

and 4G traffic. The Board is based on the WinPath3 SuperLite from PMC-

Sierra (Wintegra).

Responsibility- Drafting PRD (Product requirement document) by

understanding the requirements and then drafting of HDD (Hardware Design

Document) for the costumer.

BTS RU (BTS RU)

Configuration: It is a six layer board using network processor from Atheros

AR71XX, Micrel 88e60XX is used as the 3 port Ethernet Switch. It interfaces

with the Ethernet MAC of Atheros through GMII interface, 16MB Flash based

on SPI serial protocol is used as boot device, 64MB DDR2 SDRAM (32MB x 2

Nos) is used for packet and data storage for processor execution and mini

PCI interface with RF card.

Responsibility - Making requirements Documents, making Design Documents,

Making Test Plans, and Doing Board Bring up, Hardware debugging and making

new Revision with required changes.

Standalone RU/AP - Standalone Radio Unit/Access Point

Need - Wireless connectivity for P2P and P2M.

Solution - RU (Radio Unit) transmits and receives the Ethernet Signal and

converts the received Ethernet signals into wireless signals @ BSC/BTS

Configuration: It is a six layer board using network processor from Atheros

AR71XX, VSC86XX from Vitesse is used as a Single port 10/100/1000Mbps

Ethernet PHY. It interfaces with the Ethernet MAC of Atheros through RGMII

interface, 16MB Flash based on SPI serial protocol is used as boot device,

64MB DDR2 SDRAM (32MB x 2 Nos) is used for packet and data storage for

processor execution and mini PCI interface with RF card.

Responsibility - Doing Board Bring up, Hardware debugging and making new

Revision with changes such as power section etc.

Gigabit PoE - Power over Ethernet @ 1000BASE-T Ethernet.

Need - Gigabit link for Radio Unit (RU).

Solution - Designed a 24V Gigabit PoE for Radio Unit.

Responsibility - To design a PCB board using PoE Magnetics for Data

transfer.

1. Home Gateway

Application: Home Gateway used as to provide wireless connectivity to

customer premises.

Configuration: RTL81XX Wireless Access Point processor and RTL81XX WLAN

including 4/8MB SPI Flash, 32MB SDRAM, Four 10/100Base-TX,one USB port

using multilayer PCB( 4 Layer) .

Responsibility - Testing of Cards, carrying out Board Bring up, Hardware

debugging.

Ethernet Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE)

Application: Wireless-N 2T2R High Gain Ethernet Adapter as coverage

extender.

Configuration: RTL81XX Wireless Access Point processor and RTL81XX WLAN

controller from Realtek, including 4 MB SPI Flash, 32MB SDRAM,

One10/100Base-TX port.

Responsibility - Testing of Cards, carrying out Board Bring up, Hardware

debugging.
