design of a 150,000 sq. ft. cold-storage design project using ammonia

refrigeration for freezing to -15 degrees. Design included

mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural components.

Project Manager of a wastewater treatment plant upgrade for AKZO-NOBEL

Chemical Corp. 100K upgrade, improvements included plant equalization

system, including instrumentation and controls.

Project Manager for building safety and process upgrades at Johnson

Managed over $250,000 capital projects for CAPD Division Engineering Group.

Provided support to both Chemical and Fermentation Business Units for

plant laboratory facility. Including the purchase and installation of

process equipment for Level 4 containment for small-scale

manufacturer. Implemented project with budget of $2.4 million, duties

to modify existing distilled water tanks from glass wool breather

vents to membrane filters along with associated controls and

validation.

. Realized cost savings of $100,000 per year by implementing project to

install mechanical separation system consisting of Doer Oliver

equipment to recover resin for the Vancomycin Production.

. Increased production efficiencies by purchasing and installing new

3000-gallon capacity seed tanks fabricated of stainless steel with

half-pipe cooling jackets. The instruments are connected into a state

of the art DCS control system.

. Purchased and installed new corn gluten silo for storage of this raw

material for production in the Fermentation Manufacturing area.

. Purchased and installed a Gemco Dryer in a Class IV clean room for

production of sodium pentathol product.

Senior Engineer - South Chemical Business Unit

Installed plant capital equipment, oversaw process improvement projects,

troubleshot process equipment to maintain production goals.

. Installed two glass-lined vessels for process improvement including

Syltherm Temperature Control Skids for reactors. This project

implemented DCS control in an area previously operated through PLC

control panels.

. Designed and developed the Ethanol Water Upgrade project that

consolidated the existing three independent chillers into one combined

system and sequenced the three chillers to the demand requirements.

. Upgraded existing vessels, vacuum system, agitator and motor control

for the production of Nembutal Ester. Increased process yields by 15

percent.
