Weigh master:
Delegated operations, (which included, but were not limited to overhead cranes, fork truck
and pay loader operators, trucks of both company and suppliers' and railroad), to load
materials for different types of both stainless and silicon steel. This involved scrap metal
made up of different chemistry, ferrous and non ferrous materials, and various raw
materials. Which also meant that there was some metallurgic work involved. My
responsibility was to balance the chemistry, according to customer requirements, to X
amount of tons to keep the furnaces running with no delays. Also assisted in inventory
count with upper management. Multi tasking, communication skills, and working with
various computers had to be second nature on this job.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Laborer/Melt Shop
Worked in all aspects of molten metal. This includes: Electric Arc Furnace work,
(Working directly with molten metal during the melting process. From scrap, to molten.
Taking temperatures, and tests directly from the bath, monitoring panel temperatures, and
'slaging off' impurities) Ladle work,(Using mechanical hydraulic lances to 'bubble' the
refined molten metal to a specific temperature for casting.) Setting Molds, and Pits,
(Basically laid the ceramic pipe work for the metal to flow through and fill the specifically
sized molds according to customer specs, using various materials such as sand, metal
shot, and fiberglass to insure no leaks.) Stripping, Burning, Marking (After molten metal
solidified in molds, the pipe work metal would then be stripped and burned off with a
magnesium rod using an oxygen line. The 2200 degree ingots would then be marked with
chalk and tagged with a nail gun.) and Mobile Equipment,(Have operated fork truck,
special breast digger machine with air hammer, pay loader, mustang, and small sweepers.
Weigh master
Multi tasking, worked with Rad Com systems which included monitoring and screening of
radioactive scrap materials, worked with various computer systems,(Windows office
professional, 7, vista, office max, company systems) utilized fax machines, multiple
scales,(for chrome and lime hoppers, 35 ton buckets, and transfers) and calculated some
chemistry. Exercised communication skills by delegating responsibilities between
overhead cranes, mobile equipment, outside venders, and company transportation
department. Recorded inbound and outbound materials to company system. (Microsoft
Excel, some Power Point) Trained in latest safety developments with confined space, lock
out, and molten metals. Certified by company on fire safety.
