materials. Which also meant that there was some metallurgic work involved. My

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Laborer/Melt Shop

Worked in all aspects of molten metal. This includes: Electric Arc Furnace work,

(Working directly with molten metal during the melting process. From scrap, to molten.

Taking temperatures, and tests directly from the bath, monitoring panel temperatures, and

'slaging off' impurities) Ladle work,(Using mechanical hydraulic lances to 'bubble' the

refined molten metal to a specific temperature for casting.) Setting Molds, and Pits,

(Basically laid the ceramic pipe work for the metal to flow through and fill the specifically

sized molds according to customer specs, using various materials such as sand, metal

shot, and fiberglass to insure no leaks.) Stripping, Burning, Marking (After molten metal

solidified in molds, the pipe work metal would then be stripped and burned off with a

magnesium rod using an oxygen line. The 2200 degree ingots would then be marked with

chalk and tagged with a nail gun.) and Mobile Equipment,(Have operated fork truck,

special breast digger machine with air hammer, pay loader, mustang, and small sweepers.

Multi tasking, worked with Rad Com systems which included monitoring and screening of

radioactive scrap materials, worked with various computer systems,(Windows office

professional, 7, vista, office max, company systems) utilized fax machines, multiple

scales,(for chrome and lime hoppers, 35 ton buckets, and transfers) and calculated some

chemistry. Exercised communication skills by delegating responsibilities between

overhead cranes, mobile equipment, outside venders, and company transportation

department. Recorded inbound and outbound materials to company system. (Microsoft
