Space Systems/Loral,Palo Alto, CA Feb 2001- June 2012.
Designed and developed code for the
Telemetry and Command System. This
system enables satellite engineers to build up a complete database of software
commands (issued from ground control or the on-board computer) and associated
telemetry data (status and diagnostic data returned from satellite
electronics). All electronic devices, wiring, commands, and telemetry are
modeled, thus allowing a full simulation of satellite functionality to occur
prior to build and launch of satellite.
Coded generic change tracking and
approval system for all edited tables. This generic mechanism tracks every user change at the table and column
level.
Coded table-driven security mechanism
providing granular access to various aspects of systems (screens, menus,
subsets of data).
Major Contribution:
Ø Developed
much of the Code Generator that produces 90% of the PL/SQL code required to
support each user screen. Using advanced
dynamic SQL and PL/SQL techniques, this code reads Oracle Dictionary objects
(Table and Column definitions, Primary and Foreign Key Constraints, etc.) and
creates the following stored procedures (and much more):
Ø Produces
clean, formatted, indented code that follows company coding standards (variable
naming conventions, calls to common utilities, clean indenting and formatting
of code, etc.).
Ø Greatly
improves maintainability since the 45 generated packages all look and read the
same.
Represented our server development
group on the Test and Deployment Team. Worked closely with key super user and key client developer to develop
test procedures to fully test all logic scenarios.

Attended daily Scrum meetings with the
team for daily updates on the projects.

PL/SQL experience writing Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Views etc.
Ability
to write well-abstracted, reusable code for all modules.
Testing
and validating work produced as part of the development process.
