Managed the manufacturing facility's maintenance department. Responsible
for the maintenance of over 900 production machines including: New
Britain multiple spindle rod machines, chucking machines, screw machines,
CNCs, plastic and rubber molding equipment, polishing equipment, nickel
chrome plating process equipment, assembly machines, presses and material
handling equipment. The same department was also responsible for the
maintenance of the company's automobile and truck fleet.
Managed a highly automated brass foundry. Ensured that three 300 KW
induction furnaces and one 200 KW holding furnace were maintained and
prepared each day so that they were capable of melting anywhere from 12
to 48 tons daily. Managed the maintenance of all continuously running
conveyor systems, electrical equipment and controls associated with the
system.
