Consultant brings over 20 years of healthcare systems experience that spans

HEALTHCARE CONSULTING SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
CONSULTING PROJECT EXPERIENCE:
. Assisted Norton hospital to implement 8 instrument interfaces and a
POC interface with a critical short turnaround time for a new hospital
construction with brand new analyzers. Built all analyzer
dictionaries, configured term server, built adapters and troubleshot
connectivity. Developed new workflows and customized labels to
implement new functionality streamlining barcoding with new analyzers.
Developed custom NPRs, scripted thousands of entries for micro, lab,
blood bank for new Lab Site to function properly and ensured full
integration testing was validated from Lab to reference lab, B/AR, and
OE/EMR. Finally, customized their reports and performed an
optimization analysis to include best practice for their new lab.
. Assigned to Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) to implement and
build MEDITECH 6.0 Lab module to include General Lab, BBK, Micro, and
Pathology with short timelines and high stress levels to meet
Meaningful Use criteria for 2013. Included 13 instrument interfaces
connected via an IP technology and Lantronix. Researched and
configured both software and hardware and pinned out adapters as
needed for microbiology. Scrubbed and scripted over 12,000 dictionary
entries in all Lab modules. Setup all hardware (faxing, printing) to
ensure it was communicating and directed as client needed. Built
reference lab interface to Mayo Reference laboratories established NMI
connectivity and created validation testing plans to ensure system was
operational. Customized report and label formats per client
specifications and ensured they were printing on customized schedules.
Setup customized training sessions for teams as needed and provided
support during and after Go Live.
. Assigned to Catholic Health East (CHE) as a remote resource to design,
configure and implement complex interfaces from a Regional Health
System to an Interface engine utilizing the MEDITECH interfaces for a
system enterprise upgrade from a Magic to a Client Server platform.
The 13 complex interfaces included Lab, PACS, PYXIS, Transcription,
ADT, PICIS and Meaningful Use interfaces to a Health Information
Network. Simultaneously, attested 10 hospitals for CHE Corporations
Meaningful Use objectives of Syndromic Surveillance, Continuity of
Care Documentation and Lab Resulting (custom interfacing) to the
Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN). Interfaces were configured
both via point to point and routed via an OPENLink engine depending on
specifications.
. Assigned to Sauk Prairie Hospital to lead 3 teams consisting of 3
clinical modules: Scheduling, ITS, LAB) to upgrade from a Magic
platform to a MEDITECH Client Server 6.0 platform. Led team to perform
BBK validations and conversions. Configured all Lab instrumentation on
virtual servers hosted by Dell to include foreign system interfaces.
Configured ITS to support all PACS interface modalities to include
worklists, image links, and transcription. Performed Hx and exam
conversions for BBK and ITS exceeding all timelines for prepping and
converting files.
. Assigned to AVERA Health System with a LIS team to build Lab
dictionaries for Multiple clinic sites to include testing, training,
validation, rollout and support. The scope included Lab, BBK, Micro
and instrument build customized to fit each Clinic / site.
. Resourced to research, create plans, execute plans, review
specifications, connectivity, develop testing & validation plans. In
addition, assist with labeling and stocking dispensing machines,
train, rollout and support the interfaces for a MEDITECH to OMNICELL
foreign system interface for the Pharmacy and Materials Management
modules.
. Assigned to Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) corporate office to
transition MEDITECH Magic platform to C/S 6.0. Interviewed with
client, performed walk thru and performed analysis of current and
future state processes. Developed project plan, itemized scope
deliverables, scheduled kickoffs and training. Implemented the full
system life cycle strategy to meet client requirements. Optimized
build for EDM, ancillaries, and nursing teams to conform to best
practices and bridging gaps existing within the two platforms. Advised
team on best practices to meet Meaningful Use requirements and for an
effortless transition into future advanced clinical modules like POM
and PCS.
. Subject matter expert tester for unit, integration, and parallel
testing scenarios. Tested and Validated various System priority pack
upgrades, DTS enhancements, and corrections throughout the
implementation. Validated all trackers and module functionality and
ensured they functioned as designed to include integration of PCS,
PCM, and all ancillaries. Confirmed trigger mechanisms including
rules, discharge packets, reports, prescriptions, labels functioned

. Project Manager assigned to lead a remote team with the implementation
of MEDITECH 5.6 on a newly purchased facility large Western US health
care system. Simultaneously, upgraded the host facility to V5.6 then
proceeded with the build to add on the new facility. Both Go Lives
were one month apart utilizing the same resources.
. At another healthcare system Consultant was the project team lead to
implement a new facility to an existing V5.6 platform. Consultant
organized and got the team ready with the decision making needed to
move forward with the build and strategizing for the project.
Consultant led the ITS team to actualize a transcription interface and
implemented Forward Advantage faxing across the campus.
. At Southwest US multi-facility hospital (MEDITECH CS V5.6), facility
faced challenges with a system that was not optimized and their multi-
million dollar robotics system was non-functional. Consultant assessed
the situation, presented resolution and implemented recommendations to
get their robotic system online.
. At large integrated western US healthcare system was assigned to lead
the Lab team in an implementation of MEDITECH'S beta C/S V5.6 for the
entire Lab Suite (Lab, BBK, Micro, and Path). To include interfacing
all instruments utilizing LANTRONIX IP technologies, BBK validation,
BBK and Path conversions.
. Consultant led a multi-phase implementation of six unique HCA
facilities located across the country in a span of two years. As
Corporate HCA team member arrived at facilities just in time to make
assessments and recommendations, assist with modifications to existing
build to get team(s) back on track to meet go live deadlines.
Participated in complex multi-year, multi-phased, multi-facility
system implementations. Project structures include multi-facilities
rolling out a single MIS/Universe with unique Module db builds. At
HCA, planned, performed, researched, and consulted on optimization
