Mechanical Engineer
Co operational strides with customer to design and produce tooling devices
in an effort to keep cost low and scheduling
A problem-solving environment to supply evolving customer with sound
solutions that are easily manufactured maintained and used. Engineering
responsibilities include; design from start to manufacturing, assembly, and
assembly organization (BOM, ordering, RFQ, etc.)
. Design fixed tooling to hold part during dynamic welding process. Product
integrates into preexisting machine. Allows technician to ergonomically
load and unload part
. Dynamic fixture to allow part load and safely move tooling into clamping
position with technician at safe distance.
. Tooling design allowing for Urethane pour. Part is required to be a fully
supported base with complex geometry. Base part is simple aluminum and
then a mold box created to pour urethane into cavity and set into a
complex geometry reducing machine time and cost.
. Evolving processes to increase proficiency and work flow, from quoting
stage to development and right thru to project build. By implementing new
3D CAD techniques to work in cooperation with quoting programs (Epicor)
and documentation programs (excel, word and pdf)
PEKO Precision Products, Inc. 2005- 2012
Mechanical Engineer
Collaborative effort with customer needs to create and develop cost
effective solutions to current demands of dynamic work environment.
Multi-tiered problem solving techniques to meet a design target utilizing
relevant technology suited for unique solution. Engineering
responsibilities include; development to production, build only, adoption
program, assembly, and tooling rebuilds.
. Sealed evacuation chamber for use in retroactive exposure units. Product
removes O2 concentration with introduction of N2 while monitoring chamber
and room atmosphere concentration.
. Incorporated new laser technology with CNC machining center to weld fuel
cell plates with precision and repeatability to parallel efforts with FDA
regulations.
. Acquired retooling assignment on assembly cells not created by PEKO to
work with new steering columns and design specifications driven by
customer.
. Facilitated PEKO driven design applications with wants and needs of
customer product through the use of 3D CAD concepts.
