JOB EXPERIENCE :
: Just completed the J W Marriott hotel project in
Bangalore.
It was a classic case of MISMANAGEMENT of a super 5
star hotel project by men of inadequate knowledge and Management
skill, running more than 7 years.
It was turned around by me, taking over the Control of the Project in July
2012 and completed all aspects of total infrastructure, and ready for first
phase of Operations now.
1. I have been providing PROJECT Management service under the name SCS
ENGINEERS Pvt.Ltd. from May 1996 to June 2012. The projects and experiences
are indicated in the end.

PERIOD As head of projects I was mainly
responsible for the rapid growth
of the Sterling's chain of
resorts and the hotels all
over the country. I directed a team
of Engineers of all disciplines,
Architects, Designers,
Consultants, accountants, Purchase
and Contractors. The
challenge of my task was
putting together a band of
competent professionals located all
over the country and
inspiring them to work cohesively
and effectively to ensure that the
goals of the
company towards scheduled
opening, cost, quality and time
parameters of the projects were
met.
Proof of successful handling of
this area lies in the fact that,
the entire project division
had been revamped to handle 50
projects in 5 years with technical
expertise, systems,
procedures and controls.
It was an excellent experience
of very high responsibility and
accountability.

up the new chain of 4 Star Hotels.

the first 2 Hotels were completed
in record time, a dozen
more were in progress. As the
head of the project team, I directed
a team of engineers, architects,
designers and accountants. I
was also responsible for planning
and monitoring project progress.
One of the critical areas of
my responsibility was cost control.
The challenge of my task was putting
together a band of competent
professionals and inspiring them to
work cohesively
and effectively to ensure that
the cost, quality and time
parameters of the projects were met.
Proof
of successful handling of this
area lies in the fact that the first
2 Hotels had been completed and
delivered in a record time of
10 & 18 months. In addition to
Project Management, I was also
responsible for engineering
operations of 3 Hotels.

Bangalore June 03.
3.Commissioned Tristar Service Apartment complex in Bangalore June 03.
4.STATE BANK OF INDIA -, Chennai.
Completed and commissioned the 1.5 lakh sft. SBI, LHO AT Chennai.
(1.5 lakhs Sq.ft.) commissioned on 27th September 2001.
5. Hotel Royal Orchid Park Plaza . at Bangalore
This prestigious 155 rooms 5 star business class hotel project of
Mr.C.K.Baljee, has been
commissioned on 8th.June 2001.
6. North West County of Prestige group. at Bangalore
Commissioned the prestigious super 5 star resort with health treatment
facilities in April 2001 in
Bangalore. This facility is being managed by the Baniyan tree of
Singapore.
7. Empee Group of Industries - Hotel Madras International.
Provided complete Turnkey Management of restructuring,rchitecture,
facility planning,access,
consultancy for engineering services and renovation of 65 guest rooms.
Total cost of the project Rs.3
Crores, renamed GRAND ORIENT. This challenging and prestigious task of
remodeling was done in a
little over 7 months After shutting down the hotel completely.
The Hotel reopened on 11th July 97.
IT WAS A TOTAL TURN-KEY Execution which included
TOTAL CONSULTANCY, CONTRACTING AND SITE EXECUTION

9.Hotel LeMeridien Kovalam PMC service for 6 months
10. Gemini Group, at Chennai
Provided Project Management service to Gemini's commercial tower and
the 250 rooms Hotel project for a
year (1996-1997).
11. Sterling Hoildays Resorts .Chennai.
Commissioned several resort projects including the prestigious green
field large and the best project of
Sterling, Munnar in Kerala, in 1995 as Vice President Projects ( 1993-
1996).
12. Mahindra & Mahindra's Guestline Days .Bangalore.
Set up the Mahindra's Hotel Division and commissioned two Hotels in
record time of 10 and 18 months,
with a cost per room of just Rs.6 Lakhs only. (at Tirupathi and
Attibele as General Manager Projects
1990-1993).
13. Park Sheraton Hotel & Towers at Chennai
Was involved in the Construction activities and Infrastructure
development to meet the demands of the two blocks as Chief
Engineer of the same Hotel (1986 - 1990).From 165 to 350 rooms.
14. Manjarun Hotel Project at Mangalore
Commissioned the Five star Hotel of the then ITC as Chief
Engineer in 1986 (commissioning only).
B. ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY:
1.J.W. MARRIOTT (Chennai)
The most important and perhaps the most challenging of all assignments. I
had been engaged as a Consultant to help Design, Plan and provide total
consultation to the Rs.220 Crores Super Luxury hotel Project of the
J.W.Marriott at Chennai. This Project is designed by all Foreign Architects
and Consultants from U.S.A. Hong Kong, Manila and Singapore.
2. NIOT at Chennai (National Institute Of Ocean Technology)
Was responsible for designing and execution of complete plumbing system.
The project is completed and now is in operation
3.MGDCH - (Mahatma Gandhi Dental College & Hospital)
Pondicherry Engineering consultant for Plumbing, Fire fighting, LPG,
Oxygen, Air and Vacuum system for the whole complex. The hospital has been
commissioned in the month of October ' 99.
4.T.S.NARAYANASWAMY COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE. Engineering consultant for
complete Plumbing and Electrical systems (HT/LT). First phase work is
complete.
5. STERLITE INDUSTRIES - TUTICORIN
Designed and planned the Health Club, Kitchen and Restaurants as per Five
Star Hotel standards. Job completed.
6. I.I.T. (Chennai) HOSTEL BLOCK
Entrusted with planning and designing of plumbing system. Work is
completed.
7. Hotel Raja Rajeshwari at Chennai ( 64 rooms ).
Provided engineering consultancy service for water supply, sanitation and
fire fighting systems. Work is in progress.
C. CONTRACTING SERVICE:
1. Supervised and executed 2 super deluxe Guest mock-up rooms for the
Marriott Hotel Project at Chennai in 1999.
2. Provided Interior Contracting service for the Ambassador Group by
making mock-up Guest room in Hotel Ambassador Pallava at Chennai, in
1998.
3. Provided turn-key service to Empee Group's Hotel Grand Orient. In 1997.
