Began working Broadcaster’s Training Network apprenticeship program at KWLI Radio 92.5 the Wolf in
Denver, Colorado under Randy “Shotgun” Shannon in September 2007. Finished six month program in
three months.
Graduated from Metropolitan Community College’s Paralegal Studies Program in Omaha, Nebraska in
May 2013. Through Metro, interned at the personal injury, workers’ compensation, and disability law office
of Glenn Pettis of Omaha from February 2013 to May 2013.

Broadcasting Work Experience
Educational emphasis on radio and television.
--Did two internships with the University of Nebraska at Kearney radio station, KLPR-FM. While
doing the two internships with UNK radio station, gained knowledge of current rock as well as blues and
jazz. Also did internship with Central Community College radio station KCNT-FM, gaining experience in
newswriting and current rock.
--Produced television show “Hey Did You Notice?” for UNK television station, KFTW-TV. It was a
thirty minute program in which the students of the class attempted to hide cameras in various places and
surprise unsuspecting people. I also edited parts of this show.
--Directed the KFTW-TV television show “Not so Urban Legends,” which was a thirty minute
program dealing with ghost stories of the Kearney area. My job was to make sure that my producer met
all of her deadlines and that I keep a record of all projects and hours worked by the other students in the
class working on the production.
--Hosted a program for the National Geographic website dealing with the migration of Sandhill
Cranes in central Nebraska.
--Worked at Nebraska Television News in Axtell, Nebraska.. Held position as assistant producer.
Recorded VO’s, VOB’s, VOBB’s, and news packages. Also ran prompter, operated camera, and wrote
scripts for newscasts.

-Worked Morning Shift, covering local news, farm reports, and other programming.
-Gathered, edited, wrote, and delivered news stories.
-Hosted afternoon political show, “In the Booth.” Covered numerous topics ranging from local
Minnesota issues to health and wellness.

numerous Colorado figures.

Educational Emphasis
Broadcasting--24 credits of actual degree in broadcasting, but 29 credits of broadcasting classes taken.
Experience includes on-air work, live remotes, newswriting, television production and television directing.
Currently working on 24 credit hours worth of broadcasting training at KWLI radio in Denver, Colorado.
Foreign Languages Fluent in Spanish. Proficient in French and German. 36 undergraduate college
credit hours in Spanish, 30 credit hours of graduate college credit hours in Spanish and 13 credits of
German. Other class work includes five credits of French.
Six graduate credit hours from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Went to Guadalajara in the
summer of 2004 as a foreign exchange student.
I was also a member of the Sidney High School Spanish club (Vice President) and went with the
Spanish club to Spain and Morocco in the summer of 1997 and Spain in the summer of 1999.
