Employment History
In my employment so far I have had the opportunity to be in a customer focused role, this
has given me excellent interpersonal skills. I have the ability to build a good rapport with
customers and colleagues and I am confident in dealing with queries and complaints in
personal and over the phone. I am hard working and really enjoy opportunities to further
my skills. I am an approachable person who loves communicating with people. I am
always enthusiastic and keen in everything I do.
*Camera-man
Film Africa [4th November-6th November 2012]
I attended three events during the Film Africa Film Festival. Feature films or
documentaries were shown before the director took to the floor to answer questions from
the host and the audience. I, along with a partner, would record the director whilst they
answered the questions. This was an enjoyable experience and I enjoyed meeting the
directors and organisers.
*Barman/Waiter
Porters bar in Dickens World [November 2012-Current]
*Personal Assistant, Receptionist, Barman, Chef
Students’ Union, University of Greenwich [September 2010 -November 2012]
Whilst working at Bar Latitude I was given a large amount of responsibility. I quickly
moved from being a bartender to also working in the kitchen preparing food and serving
it, to then stewarding which involved the safety of students in the bar, and ensuring the
surrounding residential area was not disturbed. I also worked at the front desk, checking
student’s ID and maintaining capacity.
I then worked as a PA to higher members of the management team, this involved
arranging meetings and schedules. I would book a room for the meetings and take care of
anything else that needed organising.
I was made supervisor during the graduation period and this meant selling merchandise
and University clothing and being in charge of the overall operation of a small stool.
I would often be supervise at the bar and make sure that everything ran smoothly, as well
as make sure that everything had been done by the end of each evening.
I often performed stock takes and checked deliveries.
*Charity fundraiser
Gift Unit 2 [June -September 2011]
I approached people and encouraged their donations. I was a representative of the charity
and was able to use good communication skills in order to benefit the charity as much as
possible. I earned my basic pay as well as commission earned from generating large
amounts of sign-ups.
*Barman
The Sun, Swanscombe [May -September 2010]
*Waiter
Leith’s Catering Company [September 2008- July 2009]
I worked as a waiter in silver service events. At the beginning of an evening I would
usually hold a tray of champagne, later after clearing the reception room we would serve
the food and wine. At the end of the night I would usually volunteer to work later to clear
up.
*Shop Assistant
Denis Hills Butchers [January 2005-September 2008]
