2002 - 2005 Net Journeys, Inc., Victorville, CA
Business / Computer Consulting Training, President
February 2005 to August 2005 GE Plastics
I worked as an Administrator for Hyperion Enterprise version 4.3. I
was the Hyperion Administrator and Help Desk for worldwide Plastic
Operations. I modified the entity structure as needed to accommodate
new cost center additions and performed monthly and quarterly data
loads and verifications. I also maintained security and added/deleted
users per management requests. I performed monthly backups and created
ad hoc reports as requested.
September 2004 to January 2005 -- Mattson Technology
I worked in the Accounting Department as Temporary Administrator for
Hyperion Enterprise version 5.5.4. I meet with and gathered
requirements from users and used Crystal Reports to develop Ad Hoc
report requests. I also built a mapping interface with MS Access and
Excel to move data between Hyperion Enterprise and SAP. I created
reports using Retrieve worksheets and Hyperion Report Writer for
Bluebook Reporting, to present budget information, and to validate and
reconcile account balances. Developed and maintained mapping, Chart of
Accounts and Organization Structures between SAP and Hyperion.
March 2005 to September 2005 -- Universal Studios
I was Involved in the Hyperion Bridge Project to help facilitate
financial reporting between NBC and Universal during their merger. I
created an Interface to move data between Hyperion Enterprise 6.2 to
SAP and PeopleSoft. I also used Crystal Reports to create special
reports to verify and track variances. Retrieve worksheets were used
to capture and translate data through 3 different accounting systems
(including SAP and Hyperion). I gathered requirements and created
reports to track variances, present budget information, validate and
reconcile account balances and show data views of dollar amounts in
all three Charts of Accounts to validate mapping. I developed a system
to report and convert Budget and Actual data that was to be loaded
from Hyperion Enterprise to SAP. I also created Categories and Roll-
ups in Hyperion Enterprise for different budget periods and modified
system logic to carry forward period balances and to subtotal account
groupings.
June 2002 to December 2003 -- Reliance Steel & Aluminum, Co
I was involved in Software Implementation for Aluminum Stainless in
New Orleans, LA and Central Plains Steel in Wichita, KS. I conducted
Software Training Classes in Sales, Production, Purchasing and
Shipping / Receiving, and Inventory Corrections. I developed Data
Conversion programs using advanced formulas and macros in Excel and
Access to convert, validate, then move legacy data into Stelplan. I
was also used to troubleshoot and devise workarounds to solve problems
completing transactions and to maintain consistent following of
business processes.
November 2002 to June 2003 Warner Bros
I converted financial data for SAP implementation from Hyperion
Enterprise 4.3 using Excel and Access and Retrieve. I used pivot
tables and financial calculations in Excel using Retrieve and Crystal
Reports to validate and reconcile data before and after data
conversions to Hyperion Enterprise 4.3 and 6.0. Excel was used to view
data in Hyperion Enterprise to track status of data loads to and from
SAP. I used cell-linking to clean and pre-consolidate data in Excel
before moving to Access database for final conversion processes. I
developed specially formatted spreadsheets to accept data loads from
SAP prior to converting and loading into Hyperion Enterprise. I
created user forms to display reported data via Hyperion Retrieve into
a more meaningful and presentable format. I was the Helpdesk Support
for Hyperion Administrators in all WB divisions (27 apps). I gathered
requirements from FRB and other divisions to help determine whether to
upgrade Hyperion or rebuild the older Hyperion Enterprise
applications. I also helped solve problems in Hyperion Enterprise by
correcting formulas in Logic, creating Retrieve spreadsheets and
correcting elements in Reports, modifying Account Lists, and adjusting
the properties of Names in Organizational Structures for all WB
Divisions
June 2002 to Present -- Various Small to Medium Size Business
I have acted in a Financial Analyst roll in using Crystal reports to
create ad hoc reports. I have created Payroll reports from ADP data on
Oracle using Crystal Reports and Access. When needed I have imported
data using ODBC and FTP processes to Access databases and Excel
Spreadsheets. Using ODBC I have connected to SQL Server, Informix,
Oracle, and other relational and flat database file systems with Excel
using MS Query, Access and Crystal Reports to extract data for
cleansing and for display as formatted reports. I have used VBA code
to open Excel from within Access to perform preliminary updating tasks
and data extraction for database tables, which had too many indexes
for Access to open on its own.
In automating systems I have used VBA code and batch files with MS
Scheduler to automatically run Access applications and have reported
data sent directly to coded email recipients as Excel spreadsheets
attachments. I have developed and fine-tuned Access databases, used in
Inventory Control, Sales Analysis and Financial Reporting. I used
macros and VB script to perform advanced operations on data in Excel
spreadsheets for data cleansing and validation. I have used Pivot
tables and Pivot Charts to consolidate linked data between various
company divisions. I have also used linked charts in Excel for
executive staff to view from data managed in Excel spreadsheets
maintained by other support staff. I am experienced in Web Design
using HTML, Flash, Front Page, HomeSite, ASP
