DOW Midland, Michigan - Building K Project: Building K was a 100,000SF
steel frame structure with 4 floors above grade, the project also included
the decommissioning a 16 above ground storage tanks along with remove of
half mile of pipe trestle.
SOW: Responsible to manage the field operations, safety, asbestos
abatement, environmental cleaning, facility demolition and site
restoration. The project was completed on schedule, within the budgeted
cost with no lost time injuries.
Client: Eli Lilly & Company, Indiana

Project K328 Phase I & II: Designed and implemented the demolition plan
and specifications for the decommissioning of Building K328, a 2 story
900,000SF pharmaceutical manufacturing facility built in the early 1940's.
SOW: Estimating project costs, protect ongoing pharmaceutical research,
evaluating locations of utility isolations, determine the location to cut
the structure, develop the demolition plan, evaluate pending environmental
concerns, coordinate unforeseen environmental cleanup, analyze the
contractors bids, review the contractors work plan, safety plans and
schedules, evaluate the contractors proposed means and methods for
demolition, forecast project completion verses actual progress. The
project was completed on schedule, within the budgeted cost with no lost
time injuries.

Chrysler Indianapolis Foundry: The Foundry was a 12 story structural steel
structure with 4 support structures as part of the facility, one of key
issue was managing the environmental concerns with the foundry dust.
SOW: Responsible to manage all field operations, negotiated and sold
surplus equipment, coordinated the removal and distribution of equipment
slated for reuse worldwide, responsible for safety, asbestos abatement,
environmental cleaning, facility demolition and site restoration. The
project was completed on schedule, within the budgeted cost with no lost
time injuries.

Project Cost: $3,500,000
Franchise Expansion Program: To increase their corporate size, Carstar
purchased existing Auto Repair / Paint Shops throughout the Midwest.
SOW: Responsible to perform Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments,
conducted 100 year title searches and documented findings.

. Program Manager: Created and Developed the Value Analysis Automation
System, the program was developed using a Lotus Notes based
application that converted the existing paper process to a
standardized paperless electronic format, enabling Construction Buyers
to benefit from electronic commerce. The initial program investment of
$35,000 resulted in annual savings of $300,000.
. Process Re-Designer: Responsible to analyze the business process of
the Assessment, Remediation and Deactivation Group, then developed an
Environmental Partnership Program Team, which generated a savings of
$7,000,000 in the first four years. Received the DaimlerChrysler's
1995 Complexity Management Award, for developing a system that reduced
overall complexity for the End Users.

. Design/Build Manager: Responsible to design and construct
modifications to convert an existing open air structure, into the New
Car Diagnostic Center for the launch of the 1994 Mustang.
. Construction Owner's Representative: Responsible to monitor
construction activities, interpret plans and specifications for a new
state-of-the-art Fuels Laboratory, negotiated change orders,
maintained quality assurance and safety at the Rawsonville, Michigan
plant.
