Supervisor QualityAssurance

Procedures / QA & QC / Compliance / Testing / Reports / Research /

Specialty Materials Handling Project Management / Training / Presentations

/ Maintenance / Corrective & Preventive Actions

A manager who leads by example, I am an expert at running testing

laboratories smoothly while achieving the highest quality standards. I am

adept at developing and improving processes, ensuring results and reporting

are accurate and timely. My focus on quality guarantees that laboratory

functions efficiently produce superior products.

As a hands-on manager, I am involved in all aspects of laboratory

operations, including test methodology, inventory and instrumentation

maintenance. I am known as a motivator and coach of highly productive

teams. My strengths:

o Monitoring and ensuring compliance to regulatory standards with

Federal, state and local agencies

o Improving processes and products to meet customer specifications and

expectations

o Managing lab operations - processes, reporting and analysis

o Conducting quality control testing and rectifying deficiencies in

methodology and results

o Cross-training personnel to avoid project downtime and missed

deadlines

I earned my BS in Biology at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. I have

attended training in management skills, as well as project and time

management. I am a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and

the American Chemical Society (ACS).

Selected Accomplishments

Completed lab move with no loss of productivity. Mandated to locate and set

up a new FTS laboratory while maintaining current daily operations. Found

warehouse and built lab from ground up, acting as designer and coordinating

subcontractors. Completed build and move within two months without missing

operational deadlines.

Improved efficiency while streamlining operations. Siegel had two shifts

running for many years. The evening shift was unproductive, with no

supervisory oversight. Convinced upper management to allow a one week trial

of combining all personnel in day shift. Immediately increased productivity

without missing any deadlines.

Utilized team approach to meet important goal. A chemist at FTS was not

meeting goals and in danger of missing a critical deadline. Delegated the

workload to other staff as management moved up deadline. Finished project

ahead of schedule to present new technology to Board of Directors.

Brought work in-house for significant savings. FTS was going to use an

outside facility to drill and cut core samples at a cost of ~$2K per set

for five or six samples. Vendor required a week to produce each set.

Suggested purchasing needed equipment for one-time outlay of $2K. Saved

$10K in costs, produced sample set within hours.

Created team culture for improved productivity and results. FTS was running

each project independently. Designed and implemented team model, where all

projects were discussed at meetings and assignments made based on strengths

of individual team members. Encouraged collaboration, bringing new insight

into each project.
