The non-profit WCIRB provides Workers Compensation insurance rating services to insurers in the

state of California.

Senior Application Developer

Analyzed, designed, programmed and implemented Policy Examination and Ratings application

systems. Assisted legacy CICS team to port the system to .Net technology.

Primary analyst / developer responsible for creating year 2011 and 2012 Rating Procedure.

Worked with business users to get requirements to produce detailed specifications. System

took legacy data and used C# and LINQ to create XML files consumed by the WCIRB web

site.

User interface representative for both technical and business requirements for many projects.

Analyzed Carriers Insurance data requirements to produce carrier reports using Microsoft

Visual Studio’s SSRS report writer and SQL.

Used Microsoft Visual Studio’s SSIS to transfer VSAM files to CSV format that are loaded

into a SQL Server Database.

Implemented major enhancements to the C# based carrier Document Transfer System that

simplified usage saving staff manual effort.

Using Informatica, transformed VSAM Historical Rating Carrier data into an XML index

and corresponding text data file, consumed by the new system.

Senior Programmer Analyst

Analyzed, designed, programmed, implemented, and provided end-user support, for a variety of

application systems.

• Developed specifications for a web-based Order Entry system for large pharmaceutical chain

customers. This new system simplifies the reorder process, giving McKesson a strategic

advantage over its competitors.

• Designed and developed significant portions of the Speculative Deal and Procurement

System. Using a centralized DB2 database, the system allows pharmaceutical customers to

monitor their use of products,

and place replenishment and investment orders. Development utilized COBOL, CICS, and DB2 on

an OS/390 platform.

• Functional lead in the analysis, design, programming, and implementation, of a complex

nationwide Accounts Receivable System. This system more effectively manages the receipts

of pharmaceutical chain customers, and contributed to an increase in sales of $3-5 million

dollars per year. The system is written using the Millennium Accounts Receivable package,

CICS, COBOL, and VSAM.

• Assisted in development of an inventory tracking system for McKesson’s distribution

centers. Extensive programming performed using RPG/400.

• Supported the McKesson/FoxMeyer merger by modifying the Accounts Receivable system

to facilitate the consolidation and closing of distribution centers.

• Modified the Account Receivables System to support the addition of large customers with

their own individual contract payment terms. These changes allow the flexibility to tailor

contracts to customers, increasing revenue by over $3 million a month.

accounts payable, to AS/400.

Implemented J.D.Edwards Corporate Tax System from a LOTUS spreadsheet.

Installed the MSA fixed asset system using CICS/VSAM from a LOTUS spreadsheet.

Participated in the conversion of the railcar mileage billing system from IDMS/CICS to

DB2/CICS.
