Experience
Georgia Highlands College
April 23, 2012 - Present
Assign patients to the students and supervise students for correct patient/customer service follow-ups via departmental protocol
Coordinate budget information, prepare schedules, agendas, topic outlines and syllabi for each semester, manage patient database (confidentiality), data entry into Banner for patient’s payments, reconciliation of all monies received and deposited, assist callers and patients, multi-task efficiently, schedule and manage events for department, supervise students in sterilization room, order and maintain all office and clinic supplies, assist department faculty with any requests, enter classes and/or student information into Banner software, maintain office and clinic area for any repairs and/or maintenance, heavy computer data entry.
Have effectively streamlined patient assignments to students to reduce amount of paperwork by creating Excel spreadsheets, immediate entry into the computer/accounting system for all payments received, rather than once a week data entry sent to main campus and bogging those cashier's down with our deposits to enter. I enter all deposits here and send to the bank.
Recommended and was heard on restructuring clinic area and sterilization room to reduce crowding and improve traffic in heavily used area, resulting in fewer accidents and better work flow.
Reduced the amount of work time on various administrative duties by utilizing spreadsheets and calendars in Outlook to create schedules for each semester. Calendars are shared electronically for faculty and staff to view for the first time via computer or smartphone. Preparations for these schedules were originally created in Microsoft Word, were tedious to complete and extremely time-consuming. Now, schedules are created in Microsoft Outlook in much less time, can be combined to see all schedules for the entire semester and faculty may view one another's schedules.
