I started as production supervisor for 2nd shift at North American Lighting
in the Salem plant. After a few short months I was selected to go to Japan
for 30 days for Toyota Production System Training for future leaders of
NAL.

> 1988-1991 production supervisors for paint department. I led my team
to have the highest productivity and the lowest scrap at NAL.
> 1991-1997 promoted to general foreman 2nd shift assembly. I was in
charge of 10 production supervisors and 250 hourly employees. I was
able to lead my teams through 40 successful new model launches and
lowering scrap from 2.4% to 1.3%. while also increasing efficiency
from 85% to 93%. NAL sales growth from 1991-1997 was 180 million. I
was responsible for creating departmental budgets and P/L for my area.
> 1997-2001 general foremen over injection molding, paint and vacuum
metalizing. My team consisted of 10 production supervisors and 150
hourly team members. I led a team to develop a new paint process that
reduced scrap by 25%. During my 4 years sales increased 8% and I was
able to reduce manpower by 5% and increase efficiency by 25%
