GOAL
To earn the designation of Certified Safety Professional in 2013.
HIGHLIGHTS
Helped Oklahoma Steel and Wire operate 3 months (February/March/April) in a row without an injury
for the first time in company history in 2010. The company was founded in 1979.
Helped Crossett Plywood achieve 1 million work hours without a lost time injury in September 2011
for the first time since 2008. This was achieved with the help of a recordable-free summer, which had
never before been achieved at the facility.
SUCCESS AT SUPERVALU
Lead the Supervalu Indianola Distribution Center to 3 recordable injuries in the first half of 2012,
compared
to 12 recordable injuries in the first half of the previous year.
Lead the DC to an OSHA rate reduction of 75% in the first half of 2012 when compared to the first
half of
the previous year.
Lead the DC to achieve the highest OSHA rate reduction in the Southeastern Division. The DC had
the 2nd
most improved OSHA rate in the entire company in 2012 among 31 Distribution Centers.
Lead the DC to a Disabling Injury rate reduction of 53% in the first half of 2012 when compared to
the first
half of the previous year.
Lead the DC to a Lost Work Day reduction of 59% in the first half of 2012 when compared to the first
half
of the previous year.
At the end of the Fiscal Year 2013, the DC was nearly $60,000 ahead of budget in Worker's
Compensation
costs and was among 15 DCs out of 31 to beat the OSHA rate goal set by the corporate office.
