Plant Floor Application Software Developer Oct 1999 – Aug 2008
Responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of Application software for various Honda of America plant floor stations. The projects consisted of writing and updating applications that ran on the manufacturing plant floor. These applications were responsible for the tracking of engine numbers, VINs, quality information and much more engine and vehicle information.
Role:
• Met with customers, operators and management to assess the system specifications and requirements.
• Made Decision Analysis with other managers on analysis and choice of equipment and software design required to accomplish the requirements of plant floor systems.
• Responsible for design, implementation and testing of application software.
• Designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Microsoft Visio.
• Implemented in Visual Basic .NET Programming Language (VB.NET).
• Implemented Device Driver software to communicate with the Mitsubishi Unit and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The PLC sends the engine information to the Application Software. PLC communication is done through Digital I/O.
