Duties; I have the ability to fabricate, repair, modify, install and assemble a

variety of sheet metal i tems combined straight and curve edges or i r regular

curves and planes. The i tems include junction boxes, storage bowes, conduit

boxes, library boxes, storage racks, ladders, ventilation duct work, shelters,

etc. I am able to plan and lay out work by reading and understanding simple

as well as complex blueprints, sketches, diagrams or from sample i tems . I

have the abili ty to operate both hand and power tools in a safe efficient

manner to completer the task at hand. I can select or requisition stock

materials use complicated shop mathematics and measuring instruments,

evaluating structural damage and select/utilize required machines,

equipment, tools to complete the fabrication, modification, repair and

i nstallation of sheet metal parts, i tems and assemblies. I have the ability to

work with lower grade employees. I have the overall knowledge, experience,

t raining and education to independently preform the work as Sheet Metal

Mechanic per writ ten or oral direction, with no supervision present. I have

worked prolonged periods of continuous exertion when bending and shaping

complex or bulky sheet metal products. I am standing, walking, climbing,

working in cramped and awkward positions. I am working on the 146-

147-,85D, UAV, 189-190 shelters repair program, I have build up shelter

i nteriors, to like new condition, including installation, modifying parts to fi t,

measuring, attaching by several different means, including r ivets, screws,

bolts, r ivnuts, etc. I modify a variety of parts to conform to close fi tt ing

tolerances, by means such as grinding, cutting, bending etc. I read blueprints

to find location of said parts as well as mounting hardware, to fasten or

i nstall modified parts into rebuild shelters. I strip interiors of shelters

returned from the field in preparation of them being rebuild, and prepared

for use in the field by our mili tary personal. I have installed ECU units in

shelters, fi t ting to close tolerances, I have also installed proper mounting

hardware, gaskets, etc. to ensure a watertight seal by applying pro-seal all

joints neatly and effectively.

bending and cutting material, and put them together for fabrication, with

quality control. I worked for over 7 years in the steel as a sheet metal worker.
