Academic Projects

Project 1: Manual Operating Pesticides Sprayer

Description:

It is completely operated by means of the Compressed air, which is obtained by using the

CRANK-ROCKER mechanism. This mechanism actuates the Manual Operating Pump which

supplies air to be compressed. These compressed air and the liquid pesticides combined and

started to spray the pesticides. The main advantages are no fuel or power is required for this

Project.

Project 2: Automatic Tyre Painting Machine in TVS Sri Chakra Pvt Ltd, Madurai.

Description:

This is the machine used to paint the Green Tyre (GT) automatically by means of the

rotating and reciprocating motion. The rotatory motion and reciprocating motion is achieved by

electric motor and vertical hydraulic cylinder respectively. A set of nozzles are used to paint

(inner and outer) the surface of the GT during the combine operation of those motions. It reduces

human work, consumes less paint and time.

College of engineering and technology, Madurai during the academic year 2012-13
