I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Guam, Territory of Guam. I have
been an educator since 1998, having taught Kindergarten, 1 st and 3rd grades, 6th, 7th and 8th grades, and
Adult Basic Education with the Department of Labor Job Corps Program. I am certified to teach
students in Early Childhood, Upper Elementary, and Middle School. I am also certified to teach students
who are non-English speakers (English as a Second Language or ESL, ELD).
In addition to my experience in the Education industry, I held positions in the government and private
sectors between the years 1975 and 1996. My twenty-one (21) years of experience in interacting with
customers provided the knowledge and skills that have improved my personal and professional learning
and understanding of giving excellent customer service.

As an educator, I performed the key responsibilities of planning, preparing and teaching of programs to

Public Information Officer, Department of Corrections, Territory of Guam 1996-1996
Disseminated information to the general public about the day-to-day operation of the correctional
facility in Guam. One valued project was the Prison Tour Program wherein members of the community
were given tours of the prison facility on a weekly basis. The goal was to provide the public with
information about the various local and federal rehabilitation programs and prison improvement
projects.
Staff Assistant, Office Manager, Budget Analyst, Guam Legislature, Territory of Guam 1990-1996
Managed Office of the Guam Tax Code Commission under the Committee on Ways and Means of the
Guam Legislature. Additional duties performed were analyzing the yearly budgets of three departments
of the Government of Guam: Department of Revenue and Taxation, Civil Defense, and Civil Service
Commission, and also performed other duties as a legislative assistant to the Chairman of the
Committee on Ways and Means.

Speaking in my native tongue from Guam, I performed duties of Inflight Passenger Service
Representative for Continental Air Micronesia, a subsidiary of Continental Airlines, in Guam, on air
routes originating from Guam to Hawaii, Australia and Indonesia. I supervised 10-14 Honolulu and
Guam-based flight attendants on each flight. I was responsible for providing outbound flight
information to other destinations, handling duty-free purchases, documenting positive and/or negative
incidents and any other customer needs in flight.

Legislative Secretary to Congressman Vicente Blaz. I performed secretarial duties for the
Congressman such as scheduling of appointments with members of Congress and constituents, and

correspondences and pleadings. I also worked on simple research dealing with collection of

Performed duties of front office receptionist, answering telephone calls and distribution of messages
