XEROX CORPORATION: SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER/PLC PROGRAMMER-
DESIGNER (1999 - PRESENT)
Currently, Project Manager ensuring contract manufacturer (CEM) quality, particularly as it
pertains to the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Controller PCBA’s found in MFP (Multi-
Function) office printers. Working closely with our Asian suppliers and Xerox overseas
organization to achieve and maintain incoming high quality products through the application
of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma quality tools, FA and DOE’s if required
Responsible for subcontractor deliverables schedule and integration of equipment into line.
Initiated enhancement projects that extended equipment functionality until facility was
considered benchmark for photoreceptor production.
Led several worldwide QC gauging improvement projects. Developed procedures and
processes for various internal quality measurements. Handled project plans and maintained
schedule milestones including communication between external and internal audiences
Core member of team in design and installation of photoreceptor factory in Salvador, Brazil.
Lived in Brazil for 1.5 years during facility build and debug.
Integrated new vision inspection systems and quality gauges for worldwide manufacturing.
Programmed several families of Allen-Bradley PLC’s, SLC’s, servo controllers, robots, HMI
devices and Visual Basic for production stations and QC gauge support.
Responsible for integrating robotics, precision servo controlled dipping processes; machine
vision systems, lasers etch stations, drying operations, finishing and packaging.
Awarded numerous corporate-wide awards and promotions as a critical project team member.
Investigated and implemented automation improvement projects for finishing of belt
photoreceptors.

Improved film and motion picture quality gauges in support of production.
Control engineer involved in the implementation of a PhotoCD manufacturing line.

the inspection of critical components.
Wrote specifications for outside suppliers and ensured that deliverables met corporate
requirements.
Received significant promotions, as I was originally hired as an electrical technician and
progressed to a controls engineer.
Programmed using Allen-Bradley PLC’s, HMI’s, Visual Basic, C/C++, MS Access and
various other vendor-programming languages (precision motion, machine vision, image
