CEO/SCOUT EXECUTIVE, October 2005 – December 2012
Provided full accountability leadership, including directing a senior management team and support
staff . Managed annual budget of over $1. 8 million, while providing oversight to the operational
needs of an organization with annual membership of over 10,000 youth and 3,300+ volunteers.
Designed and implemented a fundraising campaign generating over $550,000 annually.
Developed and managed a ne w app roach to an annual product sale, resulting in an increase of
over $400,000 in the last four years.
Secured funding for a new $1.3 million Service Center and established an Endowment Fund to
offset maintenance costs for t he new Service Center, with over $280,000 in fund assets.
Delivered over $415,000 in revenue grants for specific Capital Improvements projects.
Secured a donation o f more than $200,000 for an additional Capital Improvement project .
Established an Investment Committee to review Trustee performance and ensure fiscal

Restored fiscal health, inherited an annual budget operating in the red by more than $150,000 in
addition to an inter fund loan, mortgage and significant deferred maintenance.
Balanced the budget in the first yea r and delivered a balanced operating budget six of the seven
years o f tenure including: maintenance costs, elimination of the inter fund loan, and paying off the mortgage by conducting intensive needs assessments, strategically planning cost to revenue
rations, eliminating redundant expenditures, aggressively renegotiating maintenance and other
priority contracts, and streamlining HR hierarchy to meet needs while lower operational costs.
