Software Engineer
Working on a project called Pro-Steward,which is an application that
maintains chemical products and is used by the US Government. Current task
involves migrating this application entirely from an old technology (POWER
BUILDER) to new Browser-based application (SILVERLIGHT).
Project Involves use of DAL(Entity Framework) on Server side. Above it
rests a Service Layer for exposing Functionalities and Entities to client
side .
Whole solution is broken up into several(45 Projects) projects and the
Application uses PRISM combined with MVVM Pattern for modularity .Whole
Application consists of nearly 400 Screens(XAML Based) to be developed and
also involves task of Report Generation.

Silverlight-4 Map application, using Visual Studio. The User Clicks on map
indicating his start point of journey and then his end point of journey and
using web services hosted by dev.virtualearth.net calculating and drawing
the route between two endpoints. Added features like allowing user to store
their routes on their local machine in XML format, storing route info in
history provided at base of application and providing a little route
info to user, plus used Blend to provide some good UI features to the
Application, using story board to provide small animations.

Built a WPF Application, which runs on Windows and is connected to internet,it calls out for twitter using search twitter API performing query for
WPF, parses the results that comeback, displays them on screen using data
template, then updates Overylay icon to show how many items are in there.

for GeoCode and reverseGeocode webservices, developing application where a
STRING input would be taken from USER and the USER would be directed to
typed location on MAP, reverse of it, USER DOUBLE clicks on map and INFO
about clicked location DISPLAYED on TEXT BLOCK on map.

Windows phone 7, developed a feature where user can write, edit, delete and
record their notes. Further adding GeoCordianteWatcher Class to know
longitude and latitude of user and using Microsoft's hosted TerraService
Web Service to return location's name corresponding to the longitude and
latitude and storing every note by location where the note was taken.
Additional user friendly features like saving view state so that users
don't lose their written note in case of switching to new task or
unintentionally hitting the START button. There is an additional HELP page
and several other user friendly pop-up windows to Alert and help user.
