typically am handling 6-8 projects simultaneously with schedules from 12 weeks to 1 year. My duties

cover order execution through to commissioning to installation and commissioning.

HF Scientific – Fort Myers, FL

Marine Business Development Manager: 2010 – 2011

Responsible for the marketing, sales and development of new instrumentation products for the marine

ballast water market. Forecasting sales, securing new client accounts, and providing technology focus

and direction for new product models to the engineering team for the marine industry are some of my

responsibilities.

Currently on track to exceed $450,000 sales target which is more than double last year’s

achieved goal

Travel to Asia and Europe gaining new clients for small company against larger and more

established competition in the instrumentation market

In one year brought three new instrumentation products to the market and have orders booked

Show and display at trade shows

Attend conferences for new market and network with all industry contacts and decision makers

as well as regulatory experts

Supervise all marketing efforts for the business segment

MWH Global: April 2005-Sept 2009

As Supervising Project Manager I was responsible for the design and construction of The City of Cape

Coral Southwest Water Reclamation Facility Expansion Project, expanding the existing plant from 5 MGD

to 15/20 MGD capacity. In this role I was responsible for supervising and implementing the design of

seven major disciplines of design; Mechanical, Civil, Structural, HVAC, Architectural, Electrical and

Instrumentation/Controls. My duties as Project Manager included managing the design schedule from

proposal to final delivery of product. I was responsible for a $7.9M budget, as well as managing the

relationship with the client to ensure their satisfaction, including monthly client billing of all

subcontracts and services, regularly scheduled design progress reviews both internally and with the

client, multi-disciplinary reviews of all drawings and specifications, as well as local building and safety

codes for compliance. I worked closely with FDEP and SFWMD to ensure compliance for environmental

impacts as well as compliance in the design and building for permitting purposes. Upon final design

delivery my role shifted to Project Management Engineering, where my focus was to ensure the

construction of the design as intended, to the satisfaction of the client. I managed the 3 year build

schedule, working closely with remote engineering staff, as well as the customer who was on site.

Construction phases of the project included site clearing, demolition, underground piping, hydraulic

structure construction, plant controls and commissioning. I brought this project to completion on time

and under budget.

Ionics: October 2003–April 2005

While with Ionics I continued to manage projects and an engineering staff to propose, bid and deliver

both custom and standard designs for multiple applications. I delivered both spiral and flat sheet

membrane systems for industrial clients that needed solutions for paper mill wastewater streams,

reuse, high purity water for electronics and potable water for rural areas. Employing standard designs

with minimal modification was the focus to deliver competitive bids while ensuring client fit and

maintaining aggressive delivery schedules.

Marine Environmental Partners: January 2003 – September 2003

I was employed by Marine Environmental Partners, Inc. as Senior Project Manager. MEPI was a start-up

company whose target market was the Marine Industry; specifically targeting the major cruise lines with

ionized gas ballast water and wastewater treatment. In this capacity I was able to draw upon my

previous experiences to implement project management practices and polices, including ISO

qualification and project organization from the ground up. MEPI employed dissolved air flotation and

electro-chemical technology for these applications. This served to broaden my technical expertise with

respect to wastewater treatment where the influent concentrations of TSS and BOD are higher than the

typical municipal fluid streams. I applied my seawater application knowledge with the ballast water

treatment in specifying and selecting the proper materials of construction and fabrication specifications

for the production of the systems.

KOCH Membrane Systems: June 2001-March 2003

In my capacity as Project Manager I managed membrane system projects for some of the company’s

most highly regarded customers, such as Ocean Spray and Toyota. My projects included such fields as e-

coat, juice concentration and clarification, industrial wastewater, and oily-water separation. While with

KMS, I expanded my field of expertise in membrane separation and business development. As a valued

member in the Project Management group I served external customers from the proposal and

development stage through order execution. I also served internal customers, developing some of the

most ambitious Research and Development equipment for the further advancement of KMS technology.

I routinely worked with Sales Engineers to create proposals to improve pricing and lead times, expand

the customer base and gain a competitive edge. I was part of a subcontract review team to evaluate

out-sourcing advantages to improve margins and lower costs. I worked with the sales team to research

new markets and would attend trade shows and sales meetings as part of this effort. Bid reviews,

contract evaluation and risk assessment were also a part of my Project Management functions for this

supplier of membrane-based solutions to industry and municipalities around the world.

ZENON Environmental August 1995-June 2001

I began my career with Zenon as a Naval Designer, developing Reverse Osmosis systems for the

Department of National Defence. As Manager of Naval Systems my responsibilities included Project

Management, Technical Authority, new proposals, design, field support and manufacture of all

shipboard desalination/drinking water systems. My duties included producing original designs, meeting

customer requirements and specifications, specifying and sourcing material, supervising drafting,

electrical design, mechanical manufacture, factory testing, and field start-up for each shipboard system

project.

With my desalination experience on shipboard applications I was selected to be part of an exclusive

team of engineers to design and build a large-scale municipal desalination plant for a community in

Saudi Arabia. It was the largest desal system for ZENON at the time. I gained experience in working with

subcontractors and infrastructure considerations when working in a municipal scale project.

Given my experience with shipboard projects, I promoted the movement for ZENON to enter the cruise

ship market with their ZeeWeed submersible membrane technology. Using the hollow fiber municipal

membrane I managed the project to incorporate the same municipal black and gray wastewater

treatment design to Holland America cruise lines. With successful execution of the project and excellent

customer relations, orders for additional systems on a total of five cruise ships were achieved.

I was promoted to Integrated Logistics Manager, where my role with the Department of National

Defence expanded to include lifecycle management of all military systems. I was point of contact for

DND. My responsibility was to provide and schedule training, service visits, respond to immediate

operational requirements for service and/or spare parts and meet sales budgets. In this role I would

respond to requests for proposals and technical queries while maintaining a crucial relationship with the

customer. In this business development function I increased sales 1.5 times from the previous year. I

developed key relationships with vendors, gaining preferred price agreements, as well as exclusivity

rights for key components. I also gained invaluable expertise in e-commerce and proposal writing.

Tidewater Marine-January 1993-August 1995

I held the position of Chief Engineer where I was responsible for a crew whose job was to prevent,

respond and clean up in the event of an oil spill. Since the Exxon Valdez incident in 1989, the issue of

protecting the environment has come to the forefront, and I was able to work for SERVS (Ship Escort

Response Vessel System), a division of the Alyeska Pipeline, who has become a leading example to the

rest of the world in response and clean up technology and management. This role allowed me to gain

valuable hands on experience with the latest in containment booms, skimmers, dispersant, and other oil

recovery systems.

Education

Massachusetts Maritime Academy (graduated 1992)

Extensive maintenance and repair experience with the following systems aboard the training ship

PATRIOT STATE, where I .assumed the responsibility of watchstander, including fireman’s watch.
