G-Band Karyotyping, Prenatal Cytogenetics, Advanced Medical Genetics, Advanced Cytogenetic Lab Technique, Clinical Cytogenetics,Genetics of Hematological Diseases, Advanced Topics in Cytogenetics, Molecular and Biochemical Basis of Genetic Disease, Basic Laboratory Techniques, Immunology, and Microbiology.

CYTOGENETIC SKILLS

Laboratory:

- Broad based knowledge of sterile tissue culture, harvest, and

slide dropping of blood, amniotic fluid, chorionic villus

and solid tumor samples.

- Banding: G, C, Q, and AgNOR.

- FISH and SKY procedures, including analysis, writing up

ISCN, reports and nomenclature.

- Analysis of chromosomal abnormalities, specifically in

prenatal, constitutional, and oncology studies using

microscopic techniques as well as SKY and spectral

karyotyping.

Computer: Experience with Cytovision, Agilent Genomic Workbench,

Ikonisys, Pathsys, Lims System, and Microsoft Office.
