Project Description
A 35 man month Migration project executed in onsite & offshore spread
delivery model. Micro Focus Lift Shift and Extend methodology was used to
migrate the Legacy Applications of Aruba in a 2 step migration process. The
COBOL CICS programs were rendered as Web Services in the Mainframe
Transaction Option (MTO) of Net Express in Windows. Using IBM WebSphere,
Proxy Classes were generated out of the WSDL file of the Web Services. The
J2EE applications that were developed newly and deployed in IBM WebSphere
Application server were accessing the COBOL Web services that were rendered
in the Enterprise MTO of Net Express using SOAP protocol.
