Project Procedures, Subcontractor Procedures, Quality Plans, Method

Statements, Inspection and Test Plans plus other HSE and QA/QC documents

relating to his area of responsibility.

> Primary responsibility is to ensure that the quality of the welding work

within his area of responsibility complies with the project

specifications, as reflected in the relevant Inspection and Test Plans.

> Secondary responsibility is to support the Subcontractor Supervisors in

the supervision of the works, including but not limited to HSE issues,

cost effective works execution, etc.

> Ensure that the Subcontractor has prepared his isometrics for welding,

i.e. numbered all the welds and prepared the welding status schedule.

> Ensure daily that all welders on production welding are in possession of

their welder Identification cards and are working only to approve welding

procedure specifications.

> Ensure that all welders mark their welds with their welder ID number in

the agreed manner.

> Ensure that Subcontractors issue their daily welding summaries and check

their daily welding reports.

> Ensure where practical, that NDT activities do not disrupt production

welding NDT results should be available by 10:00 hrs. The day following

the NDT activity.

> Ensure that welder tests are carried out in accordance with the qualified

welding procedure.

> Ensure that the Subcontractors store welding consumables in an approved

manner and carry out daily surveillance on this activity.

> Ensure that the Subcontractor operates an effective control system for

welding consumables.

> In conjunction with the Piping Inspector, check and ensure that all

welding, PWHT and NDT is completed for each piping test packs and endorse

the appropriate forms where necessary.

> Check that NDT Subcontractors inspection, Measuring and test equipment is

approved by Main Contractor and calibration certificates are valid.

> Carry out daily surveillance of Subcontractors welding, Fabrication and

Erection activities and issue daily reports.
