PROJECTS
MINI PROJECT
DC REGULATED CVT
In olden era the CVT have a ferroresonant transformer with two types of core NO and
CRGO. The difference in Weber of these two core lamination is back feeded through a
capacitor, produces the output voltage constant. But now we have regulated power supply
with output 12v, 24v, 36v up to 72v using regulated IC’s and SMPS current of these outputs
are heavy with a rating of 10 to 1000 amps. The constant output of these SMPS or constant
power supplies, is fed to an inverter system produces an output which is constant as similar to
input DC. In these DC output systems we have no frequency derivations. A suitable
frequency input is applied into the switching system. The output of the system has a
frequency of the input applications by the frequency selector. Now in our unit the frequency
of the inverter is same as the main input frequency. Outputs of these systems are more
efficient and also constant than the older units. The rating of these system ranges from
100VA-50KVA.
MAIN PROJECT
DIGITALLY CONTROLLED TURBO JET MOTOR
Motors normally used employs mechanical commutation in its operation. Mechanical
commutation is a basic requirement in the working of a motor. Using mechanical
commutation, the maximum speed a motor can attain is around 30,000 rpm. Any
commutator-brush combination will not be able to withstand a higher speed thus wear-tear
and breakdown occurs. To overcome this limitation and attain a much better and efficient
speed control of a motor here we are proposing a new method. In this, instead of mechanical
commutation we make use of electronic commutation. This electronic commutation is
accomplished by using a combination of a timer IC-555 and a decade counter IC-4017.The
motor is wound for a six pole stator and rotor (two pole)used may be a permanen t magnet or
a coil wound electro magnet. By controlling the output of the timer we can effectively control
the speed of the motor upto a speed of about 1,50,000 rpm. The system works efficiently
under single phase or three phase along with good control over speed.
