Responsibilities:- Overall in-charge of the Department of Physiotherapy at INHS

Asvini, a 800- bedded super specialty Naval Command Hospital in Mumbai. I
reported to the Senior Advisor, Orthopedics. As the head of the department I am
responsible for catering to the needs on a daily basis of about 30-40 patients and
about 20-30 admitted patients.
Key areas of my focus include:-
Post operative care of all major joint replacement surgery, TKR, THR, hemi

replacement.
Functionalising patients after re-constructive surgeries.
o
Rehabilitation and gait training to all amputed cases. Designing and fixing of
o
prosthesis and calipers.
Upgradation- - Chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis and Bell’s Palsy conditions.
o
Management of all sophisticated electro-medical (physio) instruments such as
o
micro wave diathermy apparatus. Short wave diathermy apparatus, ultrasonic,
laser and electromagnetic wave therapies, galvanic and faradic stimulators, ultra-
violet hydrotherapy, apparatuses for radiant heat and wax therapies, upper and
lower extremity CPM machines etc.
Achievements :-

As the head of the department, I was able to lead a team of physiotherapists and
support of staff effectively. Appreciated by the hospital authorities for delivery
of quality services to patients on several occasions.

Responsibilities : Rehabilitation of quadriplegia and paraplegia patients and

spinal injury patients. I was reporting to the Orthopedic Surgeon. The
Command Hospital (SC) Pune is an 800-bed major Orthodopedic hospital of
the Indian Army located at Pune.
