Vinyl Chloride Monomer Pipeline
Fall 2011
Designed a cost optimized pipeline for transporting VCM from a train
station into a spherical holding tank.
Drafted technical drawings, including overall plot plan for pipeline, and
position of pumps.
Calculated power requirements, shaft work, and necessary number of
fixtures, pumps, and hangers required for each of six possible standard
pipe diameters prior to cost optimization.

Methyl t-Butyl Ether Plant Design Fall
2012/Spring 2013
First pass design of a chemical plant producing methyl t-butyl ether and
propylene oxide from feeds of propylene, methanol, and t-butyl
hydroperoxide.
Process designed using values obtained from a survey of literature and
patents, and estimated through simulations using Aspen Plus software
package.
Final design presented Northrop Grumman's Engineering & Science Student
Design Showcase on April 2013, at Florida Institute of Technology
